  • Hi there!
This video is an overview of December - the Sun is moving only close to the
horizon and the ground has been frozen for months.... but somehow, I still managed to plant my last flower bulbs!
Join me in this quiet time, where I make a fire and bake traditional Estonian gingerbreads (different from other countries, as they are much spicier!)!
In case you`d like to try, here`s the recipe:
    125g of dark sugar syrup
    85g of sugar
    1 tablespoon of grounded cinnamon
    1 teaspoon of grounded cardamom
    1 teaspoon of grounded clove
    1 teaspoon of grounded ginger
    100g of butter
    1 egg
    300g of wheat flour
1 teaspoon (/w flt top) of cooking soda
Heat the sugar syrup in the pot with sugar. Add spices. Stir.
Take the pot from the heat and add hashed butter.
Let it fully cool down and add the egg.
Mix flour with soda in a big bowl.
Let them cool down before you remove them from the tray! :)
Add the sugar syrup mix to the flour.
Mix well and form a dough ball.
Place into the fridge and wait (an hour or so).
Roll out and cut the cookies.
Bake in the preheated oven @ 180 degrees for 6...8 minutes.
I hope you like them! :)
    Take care!
