- After “General Hospital” alum Johnny Wactor was fatally shot by thieves attempting to steal his car’s catalytic converter in Downtown L.A., “Extra” speaks to his grieving family. Johnny’s mother Scarlett and brothers Grant and Lance open up about trying to process the shocking tragedy and how they hope people will remember Johnny as a “wonderful, kind soul.” They also shared that they were not surprised to hear that Johnny stepped in front of a female co-worker to shield her, saying that was very much in his character.

Also followed him with his good friend Marcus Coloma (ex Nicolas on GH) karaoke tours they did. They had so much fun with their fans. He was an AMAZING person. First time I ever met Johnny was at SBC when we were kids. He was hilarious and genuinely one of the nicest humans I have ever met. The world lost an amazing soul with this man. My heart goes to his family and I hope that those who only knew him as an actor can know that he was always as authentic and truly kind as he comes across in interviews and shows. The police sure are not doing enough to make a difference. With the cost of living increases and inflation, it has increased the amount of theft and crime in general. And these assholes in power are just trying to find more ways to tax or take money from people acting like they are blind to the poverty in which people are living in now-a-days. I'm so sorry this happened! God bless you all 🙏❤💋 The crime has just got so bad in L.A. I don't understand it myself, being from here all of my life. The other morning, a homeless man stole my cats stroller out of the back of my truck at 4 am, and without thinking, I ran out the door and behind him and said, "Yo! I am going to need my stroller back"! He said, "Oh, I'm sorry, really I'm so sorry, sometimes I do bad things, I'm sorry", then he handed me the stroller, and I said, "Thank you".
I am a 56 year old petite woman who currently lives on a school bus. And, even though I genuinely think he felt bad about stealing it, I realized after the fact, just how crazy it was to do what I had done 🫣😬
