    Another excellent video. Especially mentioning going to Pro Resins - I switched and instead of mixed bed resin changes every other month, I change out Anion every 3 months. (Mixed bed & Cation has been going now for 6+ months and Cation is barely showing any color change - mixed bed is unchanged)

    This should have been the very first BRS video!

    I Love all the info...you guys are The best, and have changed the industry with great ethics...so know I'm being picky here...BUT.. 1. No mention of .5 micron and why/when to use & pros & cons. 2. No mention of membranes or prefilter sediment and carbon ..and uses, pros&cons. 3. It would be nice to just be told outright which specific products you are referring to ..good & bad..how to know if you can get away with cheap or need better.. thus, helping us know.. by name..which ones we want buy..without having to read into things..I know you're being PC. .to avoid vendor drama... but it doesn't help buyers 100% avoid misbuying ..less or ineffective products on one end or unnecessarily buying expensive on other.

    What could be the cause of the water flowing too fast through the filters and the membrane? Without a booster pump.
    That's what I'm experiencing with your 5stage 75gpd setup. The TDS is 280 at the source, 220 after the carbon, and then burns through the resin.

    In the video you said the squishy sediment filters are the good ones. I get the ROsave Z depth you mentioned and it is hard. Which one is the soft one you said is good in your video?

    . You said you can just run it straight through the DI resin.. can you do this with a 4 stage RODI? how would you go about doing that ? Wouldnt the water leak through the sediment and carbon filters first before it reaches the DI resin?

    I have a question ? On a five stage RO-DI system can you have two resin filters? I am building my own and wanted to know if two resin filter is really necessary because I want to do solar panels

    Hi…
    My TDS right now is at 120 with the filtration RO system. My well water READS 10x that without the filtration. When I first purchased my RO system and installed it, I got a TDS reading of 50 or less. The RO membrane has been changed out about 3 months ago. What can I do to bring down that TDS back down to 50?

      The RO membrane is what is mainly responsible for reducing the TDS of the source water. With TDS so high, make sure that you have good water pressure to the RO membrane and that you're only using one membrane and not a water saver configuration.

    How do you test the carbon filter if you are on well water? There's no chlorine in well water. How often should you replace then?

    • @BRStv
      @BRStv  3 года назад

      Determining when to change your carbon blocks is more difficult when your source water is from a well. Mainly because there is not chlorine or chloramines in the water. For that reason, we normally suggest to simply change out the carbon blocks on a set schedule based on how much water you're producing. Usually somewhere in the 6-12 month range.

      Check out the video in the link below. It does a better job explaining what the Pro Series resin does and why you might want to use it:
