  • BioEdit is a biological sequence alignment editor . An intuitive multiple document interface with convenient features makes alignment and manipulation of sequences relatively easy on your desktop computer. Several sequence manipulation and analysis options and links to external anaylsis programs facilitate a working environment which allows you to view and manipulate sequences with simple point-and-click operations.

    How to find the difference between sequence error and mutations ?

    • @forbesavila8827
      @forbesavila8827 3 года назад

      You could see the difference % by:
      1. Selecting seq
      2. Alignment-->Seq identity matrix
      3. Save the doc
      Note: need to be aligned first
      Hope this answers your question

      Probably not useful to you anymore, but maybe to someone else; You can just copy them to text editors, like notebook in windows. Save them, and then you can open them in bioedit

      In the absence of a better comprehensive editor, I still like the features of BioEdit. You have so many options in it, unlike many other tools out there.
