    Notes:
    -------------
    1. Crawling - crawl the web comprehensively and deeply.
    2. Indexing - index those pages.
    3. Ranking - rank or serve those pages and return
    the most relevant ones first

I think that you somehow managed to simplify the crawling process of Google's search index. I had no idea it had come so far since the last time I sat in one of these lectures several years ago.

Still Google is showing some irrevelant results regarding language results. When we search for a particular search results in particular language, Google is showing mainly English articles.
    Example: crush meaning in Tamil
Here Google is showing English content, but the user intent(100%) is to get (result of) meaning of English word crush in Tamil language.

Try to make Google search algorithm underatand that when a query includes "in Tamil", "In Telugu", "In Bengali", "in hindi" (like "in Spanish") etc that user is requesting results in those languages, but not in English.
You have around 1 billion people in the world speaking these 4 languages.

As always when it comes to seo content is king, once that is in play then the rest is easier. Ok you need quality inbound links, but that is easier once you have quality content. Structured in a nice clean manner to make Google's job easier, which also allowes the site visitor to get to the page they are looking for.

+glass joe There is no easy way to explain it, but to my understanding you will need 3 different codes 1) a Spider crawler. 2) A ranking algorithm 3)A code to dump the information into JSON (or something related like XML) for displaying the result onto a webpage. There is a tonne of material online for each of these code and I would recommend that you use python to implement them as it has alot of built in libraries (You can use whatever language you are comfortable with). I hope this helps !

??? That is a joke isn't it? Matt answered my question in that video here. I'm a webdeveloper for years and can really imagine how tricky such indexing and querying process can be, especially on such a huge database and infrastructure. Not much about the details is documented, except - as Matt points out in his video in scientific papers, which are indeed a good source for deeper study. However the overview Matt provides here is also interesting.

Hi Matt could you please clarify "the more people who link to you and the more reputable those people are"... When you say Link to you, does this mean exclusively cases where another site has a link to your site? So if I had a link from my site to lets say LinkedIn, it would see that as another site linked to ours? if that makes sense?
    thanks
