Thank you for this video (and all of your other videos). I love the no talking, no music, and highlighting the correct tool size. It is very helpful and useful and I appreciate that you take the time to make them for people like us!
Well job!! When I did on my sambar van, I cleaned and put some liquid gasket between the engine and exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe to fix some vacuum leaks. The sambar becomes more smooth to drive 🚗👍🏻
I've been fearing the 100,000km mark on my '91 Sambar because I've heard of the legendary 100,000km timing belt change the EN07s are known to fail at, and mine is floating closer to 50,000km every day. This very quickly became accessible for me, once I saw how it's all laid out so easily step by step. I gotta love how easy these little trucks are to work on. Thanks dude!
Thanks for the video. Just got my 93 sambar supercharged and did oil, air, and fuel filters as well as some clean up, spark plugs and the belts. I inspected the timing belt while I was in there and it was last done in 2015 it seems so it's that time for me. 動画ありがとう!タイミングベルトのサービスはかんたん見てでしょう What cleaning solution did you use for the oil from the seals? Also where did you get the parts from? I need to do my cam seal and belt. And which cam gear tool was that? The standard avcs cam tool for EJs?
Gorilla lugs from Amazon. Lol. Been using them for years. Had them on my LGT, Patches, the SVX, 2 of my old WRXs, and now on the Sambar. Yeah, figured with the Sambar being overwhelmingly Japanese market, most of the people seeking it out for knowledge, rather an entertainment, would be non-English speaking. Hence the Japanese subtitles.
Hey, great video. I won’t ask about the canister or solution you’re using because I actually read all the comments first… how long of a job would you say part 1 of this video is? I have not watched part 2 yet, but I’d like to know how many hours went into the whole job? Your instructions and video technique is so understandable and clear that I think if you made an ebooklet using photos and your instructions you could be a millionaire
Which cam gear tool were you using? None of them have useful measurements on the ads so I'm not sure which tool would work. I need to get them anyway for AVCS motors
@@MrSubaru1387 Great thanks! Yeah, i buy brake cleaner by the 6 packs or more, Looks like that sprayer can spray at all angles....im guessing to pressurize its compressed air or hand pump??
my sambar suddenly overheated, leaked coolant out of reservoir, I turned it off, towed it home, restarted it and it sudden started smoking from engine, turn off abruptly and hasnt started back, it turns over but doesnt fire. I was thinking the issue may be a failed water pump and a broken timing belt? Any thoughts before I go digging? I checked the oil and coolant and there is no mixing....
I added them. Since the vehicle is a Japanese one, and most likely more Japanese viewers, than US viewers, will be watching it for repair info, rather than entertainment.

Yup... Importer stuck it on there... 🙄 🙄 🙄 Luckily the Sambar and Justy both use the same black, made in Japan, Subaru, Tokyo Roki filter. Still in production and avaliable at US dealers. It's coming off real soon.

Please give more tips for us USA/western Sambar owners if you can too! We're all desperate for info to keep our little dream machines chuggin.
I'm at 78,551km and my cam seal, crank seal, and water pump were all leaking. I'd honestly advise 80,000km service, over 100,000km.
I can only imagine your disgust when you saw that Fram oil filter on there.
It was over 9000.
