Saint-Saëns: The Swan (Viola)

“The Swan” (Le Cygne) from The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.
I was kindly gifted a viola just yesterday by a good friend from church, so this is a little piece I chose to play just to try out the instrument. I am by no means a viola player, but I have always wanted to try playing this instrument. Thanks for watching!

That’s cool! I’m definitely not well versed in viola repertoire which is why I picked a very well known cello piece. 😅

@@JamesBajamundi 😂 Part of the reason I like the viola is It's very similar to the cello (the fingering is the same), but more portable like the violin. And I like the soft, rich tone of it as well.
Apparently though a lot of violinists make fun of violist. I'm not sure why, but I've seen that a lot! 😂
