Endeavor is genuinely one of the best written characters ever. I remember watching show for the first time, and like everyone else I thought he was horrible and hated him. But during the Hero Killer arc, when we see him acting as a hero for the first time, I couldn't help but think "oh shit he's REALLY cool". And I think that's an important moment. Because even all the way back then, he IS a good hero, and he DOES save lives. So when he starts to grow and change it makes those moments stand out, all while never forgetting or forgiving his past actions. Endeavor is a tragic character where every bit of agony he suffers comes from his own hand, and that's just really good writing.
I think it's a good thing that the narrative reminds us what kind of person Endeavor was because we can see that he's not the same person, he really changed. He's not running from taking responsibility like he used to in the past, no, he's willing to face the consequences head-on, no matter how painful they are. He's actually the most human character in the series, he shows that no one is perfect but that's okay
It's kinda sad how, regardless of every good thing he did, most of the issues present in the series, including Endeavor's family drama, to some extent, it's all because of All Might. 😢
