Hey Price, the orders go out in the order of the time bar at the top of them. If there is only one of that order, it will pick that one, but if there are two, let's say.... banana banana banana orders, and one just failed, it will pick the second one because it has a smaller time bar (when an order fails its bar resets) Hope this helps! (ik this is the last ep but whatever)
I’ve seen comments saying this on the last 3 videos. How come there weren’t any before this? They’ve been doing this the entire game

You guys did a great job! Also just a thing I noticed that might be helpful if you guys come back to this or if anyone else doesn't notice the slight shake it does when the tidal wave comes in. Watch the couple on the right hand side on the towel and whenever they runaway that means the wave is coming. That helped me a lot when I was playing this level. Hope this helps. :)

The DLC was finalised after the main game came out, so they were probably able to balance the scoring more. The 1-3 star requirements are a bit harder, but the jump to 4 stars isn't as extreme.
They still could have released a patch adjusting the scores needed for 4 stars to make it more reasonable
In the Tsunami level, when the people on the sides run to the top thats when you know the Tsunami is coming

Yeah it seems that the four stars in the surf 'n turf DLC are more possible to succeed than they in the regular world.
If there will be another DLC, will you play it? I love your Overcooked 2 series so much and I'm glad about every episode. So it's sad that this DLC is over now... I also thought there would also something like... hawaii pizza (because of the hawaii burgers).

4 stars in the regular world are possible, just not beatable by everyone. It was a free update and nothing is unlocked through it, so I wish people would stop whining about it.

For the 4 stars on the first level, ducktator Robin did it by bringing the food ahead of time to where the dishes appear so that they didn't have to waste time doing it.
I totally understand you're not doing the 4 stars challenge. I've watched a few videos from people getting 4 stars and for me it's just frustrating and no fun at all. We've managed to do the first level (from the main campaign) with four stars and I've had enough after that one. My wrist hurt after it! Another one we've got unintended, we just played it without the goal to get 4 stars. But as I've seen, the score for 4 stars at the DLC are not that much higher than for 3 stars, so it might be easier than on the main campaign. Maybe, we'll try... (sorry for any mistakes, English is not my mother tongue)
You just have to optimize your workflow and cannot screw up 1 single step. 4 stars is very possible

@@that-possum-guy3209 it depends on personal preference really. For me and my friends, we enjoy the challenge that 4 stars offers. The amount of focus & thinking involved is just awesome for us but yeah, this is not for everyone.

I would love to see college kid DLC doing microwave mac n cheese, instant noodle ramen, tv dinner, frozen pizza, etc!
they could have easily done 1 or maybe 2 missed orders if they had just made the orders with the least amount of time and not always looking at the one to the far left

You need to do the orders in order to keep your score combo. Doing them out of order will get us a lower score.
your score combo breaks as soon as you fail an order, and counts up starting from the dish with the least amount of time left; in any event, keeping the orders down the line from failing (which loses you 30 points each) does more overall than having a x2 multiplier that goes away as soon as the next dish fails

Stumpt Seriously? You’ve all played this game how many times and still haven’t caught onto the fact that missing orders causes your streak to break and lose more score. The game is trying to help you lose less score by getting out orders close to failing. The order is determined by timer duration, not left to right

I've watched all of Overcooked 1 and its DLCs and all of Overcooked 2, and this is my first time FINALLY NOTICING the timer up top for orders with the green to yellow to orange and red colouring. Like I knew the dropped orders were replaced, but never noticed they had timers!? I mean, I still think it's bad design for them not to be in the order you get them even when you miss one... but at least when I play I know now.

about how to know when the tides are coming on the last level, you can observe from people on the beach, they will run up around 8 sec before the tides hit

Some new versus maps came with the DLC. You guys should play them to see if Price can remain undefeated

Price they indicate the tide event by the other people leaving the beach

Yeah, that should be in the Overcooked playlist. We did that a year ago.
The tide recedes completely when a Tsunami is about to hit. And it's faster than the normal tide. I think.
Edit: I think I'm wrong. The screen shake may be the only tell.
The levels that have raw chicken and raw fruits in the same spaces keep making me feel really uncomfortable. I have to remind myself that it's pixels

Price i am late to inform this but when you miss an order the order is reset(which is clear) it has a higher priority but if there is a similar dish that will be completed instead of the one you missed and the game is very dumb with that mechanic

You are not late. This has been said a million times on past episodes. I get it that it is easy to forget that and get mad cuz it happens unexpectedly when we have not planned ahead for missed orders.
They usually record one week's worth of episodes in 1 sitting. So comments come too late to matter.
The game isn't dumb about the mechanic, it is almost always better to do it how the game does because getting orders in the right order for a multiplier doesn't matter if you are failing orders left and right, which is what would happen if the game did what he wants it to.

I'm sure they'll look back at it and will know how to do that level more efficiently but at that moment when they were under duress and thrown with smtg new of course not everything clicks instantly this isn't going to be a perfect play through but I'm sure they'll read the comments and learn from it

wow i am shook by Ashes commentary at the end... you basically say that all competitive overcooked players are dumb asses that do nothing but cheat, please for the sake of god watch some of Over Tyr's videos on some on the later levels where you do not have to pile up stuff and after watching that tell me it is still cheating
he wasn't saying they were cheating. but rather, the only way they could ever beat that level (or any other 4-star level) is to do a similar strategy w/ zero margins for time and error. It just seems less fun and a faster way to get tilted lol.
@@Fluffy288 i know he wasnt directly saying any of that but it blows my mind how they disapprove of such challenging tasks off-putting them "as if" they were cheating when in fact it is so much more impressive then anything they have done
