As all of my older headphones (mostly in-ears - which I keep in my bags for when something happens and I can't use my normal ones) are 3.5 I'd need to either buy myself at least one dongle (or a few to keep with the in-ears, which is more in line with why I have them there in the first place) to carry around. Same. I honestly don't understand the allure/point of an expensive phone. Phone "gaming" confuses me even more. Just buy a reliable brick that can use social media and text. Get an infinitely proper camera if you care about taking pictures. It's just an excessive use of money that could be spent far more wisely. But I guess if you have millions then it's understandable to just go fuck it.
Call me old-school but wired is still more convenient. One less thing to charge. I also use bluetooth tho. It just sucks when I forget to charge it beforehand.
The cooler adapter have the phone jack normal use while mobile Bluetooth is better The cooler looks like dual type C connector should give you good sound quality
For me the bigger issue with Bluetooth is the latency. I can see, hear and feel (through input) the very best 58-60ms delay that aptX can do, and if you have Bluetooth headphones/earbuds that only have SBC on Android that delay can be as much as 250ms. For an "epic gaming" phone to make that compromise is an appalling joke imo. At least it has aptX-LL (Low Latency) which can reduce latency to 20ms. I reckon it's gonna stay this way too, unless someone finds a way to improve the Bluetooth decoders dramatically or 60Ghz wireless Hi-Fi audio becomes a thing. Apparently you can transmit a 1080p@60hz video signal latency-free on that frequency, such is the bandwidth.

Came here to find a comment making fun of the fact that he picked a Williams car to race on the mobile game. I’m glad the comment section didn’t disappoint me.
All this makes me glad I didn't waste the money on the Rog 3. It's a great phone I'm sure, but not much of a difference between my Rog 2 ultimate. This phone was the more rare, and expensive option of 1TB storage. I'm not even close to using a quarter of this phone's capability. But I've owned it since Dec, and it's been awesome. Truly a beast in gaming. Where other players are lagging out on mobile games, you will be dominating. My wife has a Samsung and this thing blows it away. There's so many features in the rog 2&3's that it will take some time for you to find. Social media tries to give these phones low marks as actual mobile phones, but I've never ran into a problem. The camera naturally takes "colder" photos, but you can set the exposure level manually and forget it. The call quality is great. At&t tries to claim that it's not compatible with their 4 & 5G networks, but I've not only been on them, but I even travel, and use a Euro sim. It takes a little shuffling, but this phone seems to be natural for Orange, P+, and all major foreign carriers. The whole Volte thing is overrated. It doesn't exist outside of the US In a useful capacity anyway. One feature that might be on the new ones is the audio wizard. This is an amazing app if you love music, and or have Bluetooth sound devices. And I haven't figured it out yet, or why but the equalizer will sync its sound settings through my vehicle receiver, turning a dull stereo into a vibrant one, even with sub-par speakers. It also enhances the sound of head phones. And you guessed it, has a 3.5 jack. I'm a big fan of the native apps, as they aren't collecting your data unless you give that permission. Asus even offers a firmware key to remove Google entirely if you dare, or reinstall it if you make a mistake, making a pure, independent mobile experience possible. Although there's a alot involved and you will soon regret it if you don't know what you're doing. When connected to any pc or laptop, this phone's file storage acts just like a auxiliary SSD. Moving files are seamless. The only problem I encountered with data interface, is it's Bluetooth version will not connect to some older networks. My few disappointments are that the company's claims for a "big battery" still only power this machine for a day tops based on average use. But I understand it comes with a price in performance. Pair these phones with any 10+ MaH battery pack, and you're golden. There's not much more you need from these, although MSI has not entered the field yet. Competition drives development. The second thing is a lack of protective cases. These phones are expensive and it will hurt your soul if you damage it. Other than that, they are worth the investment, even if you're just looking for a great phone that will work well into the future.
@IIlil lIlIlIl do you think big company like asus making gaming phone just becuse they want to? Nope because it has huge market. Removable batteries were only convenient if you had multiple fully charged spares ready to go, which was not the case for most people. Wireless charging is far bigger deal breaker than that - I've had three different models of smartphone get their charging ports burned out for different reasons over the last 10 years, and wireless charging is the only reason I could keep using two of them until my next upgrade cycle; the third had a removable battery, which was far more of a hassle in that situation than the wireless charging would have been. I really don't see the whole wireless charging thing as a missing feature. I don't know a single person who owns a wireless charger even in 2020. Neither do I own one myself.
Why? It is incredibly convenient. Got one on my bedside table, another one in the living room and the last one on my desk in the office. iPhone or Android, I haven't had the need for cables for over 3 years
@@kindbud it's also the closest thing to a universal charger so it's very convenient when having people over. That conversation of "- do you have an iPhone charger? -sorry, we all have Android") doesn't exist when you have wireless charging which works for everyone
Because when I want to charge my phone, I want it to charge fast. Not take forever. It's a phone - it's mobile. I have several portable battery packs. I am not sitting around waiting for my phone to charge just because I can set it on a table. ** Yes I have a thick case, and no it's not worth it to remove or change my case just to again use slower charging than a cable
@@maxinac I mean, most people get enough hours of sleep to be able to charge their phones overnight without having to worry about it taking 30 minutes more. I do understand bringing a battery pack/cables when having really long days (travelling etc). Your phone should be able to last a full normal day anyway. If not, I would seriously consider buying a new one (mobile, portability and all that). - I can also understand being overly attached to a thick case (which I guess is impressively thick to not allow wireless to work). Wired charging or wireless is just a choice we make as consumers. If a brand takes away the ability to charge through wireless/wires, the phone loses a feature that could appeal to some consumers. My experience with wireless has been really good so far and I believe it will be the way to go in the future, it'll just take a couple of years for the market to catch up and the consumers to embrace wireless charging (I have friends who own new iPhones and didn't know wireless charging even existed until they came over to my place. They ended up buying a couple of charging mats for their place because of convenience, especially when you share a home with people who own a different wired device than yours, android/iPhone).

I'm not a gamer, even though I occasionally play a game or two, but I mainly use the phone and it's whole awesomeness to do productive work, and the speakers, microphones, screen and battery life, just makes it a joy to use! Keep up the great work and improve the ROG Phone lineup even more, especially for 2021 when I'm upgrading 🤪

Call me old-school but wired is still more convenient. One less thing to charge. I also use bluetooth tho. It just sucks when I forget to charge it beforehand.
imagine the ability to use wireless and wired headphone without any adapter or strange usb cable... like in 2016!
The cooler adapter have the phone jack normal use while mobile Bluetooth is better
The cooler looks like dual type C connector should give you good sound quality
I have a Bluetooth headphone that can be plug in with 3,5 mm jack. So when it's discharged I plug in cable
The main issue with bluetooth earphone is the connection reliability.

The idea of a “hardcore” mobile gamer is hilarious to me

No removeable Battery.
No Headphone Jack.
No Micro SD Expansion.
Linus:"Literally every feature!"
I'll grant you the other two though.

I really don't see the whole wireless charging thing as a missing feature.
I don't know a single person who owns a wireless charger even in 2020. Neither do I own one myself.
I've had a wireless charger dock sitting in my closet since 2015 and only used it once ever
