I get Marine's logic about fan canon. Like Rireba/Nakatani Nio did an amazing series of Touhou doujin (all of them relating to ships, but only some lewd) that form a canon by themselves. She later went pro with Bloom Into You, probably the best dedicated yuri series out there, which heavily drew from themes that she had originally used in those Touhou doujin. For example, one of the characters doesn't want to commit to giving a name to their relationship, because she feels like that would restrain them. This theme was originally set up in Eternal Violet, a doujin about Reimu (a very non-commital character, which is a fan canon character trait that is amusingly based on the fact that her hit box in game is tiny and she is therefore hard to "pin down") and Yukari (youkai of boundaries).
i can’t say i personally understand it but some people just aren’t into lewd stuff. nothing wrong with that, they probably have a lot more time on their hands both literally and figuratively.

Describing it as 'something she's not supposed to see' suggests repression, not asexuality. As in the little internalised parent figure in her head is shaking a finger at her every time she considers reading something raunchy. "That's no good Subaru, nobody will want to marry you if you act like this." She would have to be experiencing some kind of arousal or intrigue in the first place for this reaction to take place otherwise there'd be nothing to repress.
