I am a male nurse myself , just to correct you - after watching the complete video i have perceived that Shelendra bhai has probably done GNM(3-3.5 years ) diploma course, as he is mentioning that he is planning to do Post BSc (2 years course) which will make his educational qualifications equivalent to a BSc nursing (4 years) degree holder. Nurse Practitioner is a course which we can do either after doing a Bachelor of Nursing Degree (4 years course) or after completing GNM then Post BSc after that we can do a Nurse practitioner course. So your title is misleading to some extent because Shelendra bhai is not qualified as a Nurse Practitioner.
A Nurse practitioner can work independently (and not run after doctors endlessly during the patient rounds) and assess patient needs, order for diagnostic tests , diagnose diseases, and formulate medication plan and also prescribe medications which is generally the work of a MBBS doctor. This comment is not to give any hate to anyone. Peace

As an advocate, nurses should empower patients by motivating and encouraging them to be active in their own care, also making sure the patients voice is being heard, and ensuring proper care is being performed in the best interest of the patient. A nurse is also an educator; nurses have the responsibility of educating their patients on their medical condition when the patient does not understand their prognoses. When a patient has a lack of knowledge of the care that is being provided, the nurse also has a responsibility to explain the care and why it will help the patient in the process....

@@sum5687 yes it's different in gov.hospital but it's very risky job wherever you do be it in pvt.or in gov.

8 am - 2 pm ? I have generally seen hospitals exploiting their staff.. i am not sure how sarvodaya manages but even in govt hospital , shift generally spans over and above 8 hrs and private hospitals are worst!!

I don’t know if NP is Worth spending all my life time for because i have tried youtube l associates and some others and still failed 4 attempt. I feel so frustrated don't know what to do anymore don’t even have time for my own kids any more 💔💔💔😔😔.
The NP test is very difficult and frustrating to pass, I can't believe i failed after studying with so many materials😞
Frustration is a very positive sign. It means that the solution to your problem is within range, but what you're currently doing isn't working, and you need to change your approach in order to achieve your goal.
Sometimes it doesn't matter how hard you study you also need to pray to God for success

Just how difficult the life of a nurse is in this country. Add to this the low pay and disrespect they are subjected to on a day to day basis.
Why wouldn't somebody migrate to a country with better carrier prospects? This country clearly doesn't deserve it's nurses.
And also with the new recruitment rules in Aiims the 80:20 ratio they are trying to make male nurses unemployed

I would like to urge these hard working nurses working so hard in indian private hospitals to leave these blood sucking hospitals , who are paying so less to nurses , not even giving proper offs , not even paying good pay , leave this country try outside india where ur time and work is paid and repected ur degree has been valued or to prepare for govt. Exam , nurses in govt. Hospitals gets 8 offs and around 1lkh per month salary and other leave benefits. Go where ur life is valued .

Lot of northindian ppl coming to south india with the help of broker to study nursing buy paying fee in lakhs ( without getting proper plan plz don't select nursing at all mainly while selecting college )
After completing nursing @ hospital getting 10-15K salary per month (taking handover of 5-8 patient)
If Medication not given on time nurse is blamed
Food is not given on time nurse is blamed
Room is mess cleaning is not done nurse is blamed
Vitals recording not done on time nurse is blamed
Doctor didn't see the patient nurse is blamed
Blood test not sent on time nurse is blamed, report not recieved and updated nurse is blamed
Doctor proscribed wrong medication and if nurse is given that medication nurse is blamed
At a lot etc
