@tskfromnzl It's always best to have a short hooker in anycase, the shorter the lower the more powerful the scrum is. The most common problem when scrums go wrong is that the front row arent low enough in their set up, a short hooker helps that. Just make sure ur stubby and fast and u'll reach far bro haha
I'm a hooker myself, and I've been picked up on not throwing strait and my throws never seem to go high of far enough. I've tried developing my core and I'm having a bit of luck but what can you fellow hookers recommend?
You look at the muscle activation in a throw in and the principle is clear: trebuchets for the win.

yup!! i'm 5'8 and using that height to advantage u can pretty much steal opposition put -ins pretty easily ahah

release the ball sooner for more distance
Grid iron passes...sit ups while throwing the ball in the air and catch 2 hand throw... effective!!!
any reason theres back rowers throwing lineouts? hahaa
They are incredibly awful at line out throwing...
