@@JamesJarman-h7k The interior of the shack is 11 X 11 feet. There are just a couple of stools on either side to sit while grilling. Not very big, but it has been large enough for its purpose. I was limited in size by the amount of available deck space I had left. Thanks for the comment 🙂

I suppose I could close it up, but haven't yet. It has held up very well the past two winters and, being in the south, I continue to use it several days a week year round. We have a pretty bad pollen season that leaves a yellow dusty covering over everything. I have to do a pretty deep clean once per spring, but it stays dry and easy to clean the remainder of the year. How is the smoke from cooking? Does it vent well?

Thanks for watching Scott. It does vent very well with the pitch of the roof and the open sides and back. Although the roof line goes downward in the rear, it is still open to allow smoke to escape. There have been times when grilling a large number of greasy hamburgers that some some smoke accumulated and didn't escape fast enough for me. In that case, I turn on the fan that is directed toward the grill and it clears it out quickly.

I live in Alaska and would kill to build something like this in my backyard, but unfortunately I would only be able to use it 4 months out of the year before the arctic weather and darkness set in. Great setup!

Carlos, I can certainly understand your reasoning, but I appreciate your kind comment just the same. Stay warm :-)
