    The absolute slaughter on Tantiss was my most favorite part, i wouldn't be surprised lf at the end of the whole assault , if only Scalder and the rest of the medical bay excluding Hemlock survived

    The writers must hate the Empire so much lol. The Bad Batch's writing compared to Andor really does come off as kind of fan-fiction-y

    • @subscorpion9560
      @subscorpion9560 3 месяца назад +7

      I mean to be fair this is the early empire. While they are expanding the universe, there’s still enough cracks for rebels to slip through before the more well guarded times like in andor. And yea clones would have a harder time fighting imperials compared to droids but clones are know to adapt.

    • @tk-6967

      @subscorpion9560 If that were the case, then they shouldn't pretend that the Empire is almighty. The Empire isn't obviously a post-war government.
      The Tarkin novel did a great job with its portrayal of the Empire, but in TBB, Tarkin literally appears at the start of the show with a new uniform as though the Emperor just pressed a button and everything changed.
      It seems that the creative team forgot that the Republic uniforms used in TCW were literally based on uniforms we saw at the end of ROTS, which occurred several weeks/months into the Empire. Instead, TBB gives us the impression that the Empire is in the position to change everything.
      The war is somehow definitively over, the populace is somehow already joining up en masse into the military, which thus far has been entirely comprised of stormtroopers (which thanks to Crosshair we know are somehow stationed pretty much everywhere) and the Empire is already doing tons of 'morally questionable' stuff which the Republic is said not to have done in the open.
      The writers want the Empire to be evil without putting any amount of effort in. The Empire bombarding Serenno is a great example of this. Why the hell did the Empire destroy the entire city? And then, in the episode with the Separatist governor, she was talking about how Dooku warned that the Republic could 'become something worse' or some other bullshit. And the worst part about it all is that people act like this is good world building, when it clearly isn't.
      All it does is make the 'bad guy' seem like someone that no one would work for.

    • @subscorpion9560
      @subscorpion9560 3 месяца назад +4

      I mean the elite trooper in season did say the empire gave him more than what the republic did for him, people already didn’t like the republic and thought the empire would be better and there are people who believe the empire bring order in the galaxy. I mean look at Freck who supports the empire or even Vardos. There’s also children born in the imperial era who wanted to join the empire when they believe they were the good guys like Thane or Ciera. I’m saying that while the Empire is evil, there are moments where people would be willing to join them and not out of fear but actual loyalty, safety and better pay. I mean why else would the empire be able to have millions of stormtroopers from core to unknown regions?

    • @tk-6967
      @tk-6967 3 месяца назад +3

      @@subscorpion9560 Except the sources you are citing don't come from the show aside from 1 line from 1 trooper. TBB doesn't get to ignore tons of established lore and then get to cite more nuanced stories to explain its flaws

      @@tk-6967 Well i'd say it still holds up as well as any other show, you know the bad batch is just really fun to watch, it's hard for me not to just sit back and just enjoy seeing them go on adventures that aren't always fighting
      Plus, if being honest i was more curious seeing what happens to them after the series and to be honest Am glad to know they end up living on Pabu
      I feel like Certain imperials like Rampart, Bragg and Hemlock are written off as you know imperials merely trying to do their jobs right
      Also on comparison to Andor love how there isn't One Mention or appearance of Lord Vader at all which is great because it sorta abbreviates his over recurring roles in recent SW!
      I always enjoy Filler, so obviously i enjoy every episode
      I admit The stormtroopers could have been written a little better especially seeing how Crosshair's squad had some personality, ES-01 was a refugee likely who joined tbe empire for it's resources and food, ES-02 was likely the one that tried to remain Loyal to Crosshair until she had to run off to save her own skin and ES-04 who wishes to find some new enemies to fight since the end.of the clone wars saw the end of the Republic's enemies the separatist!
      But still what do you expect, The Batch for a majority are using Stun on season 1 so it really manages to beat the soldiers immediately, Season 2 they're always with some assistance that helps them beat the imperials
      And season 3, the Stormtroopers for a majority are ambushed by a giant creature, (the forest monster, the Zillo beast, the Rathtar)

      Simple, the empire is full of lazy idiots that never bothered to train their soldiers to adapt to guerrilla tactics, focused more on flashy yet impractical weaponry (Death Star/at-at) instead of practical weaponry (tie defenders/tanks/battle droids) and never add more to said weaponry like shields or armor. Clones, saw and even smaller group are unpredictable and the empire aren’t trained for unpredictable (except Thrawn, one of the few competent imperials)

    The Zillo beast killed two divisions upon escaping. A division is 5000-10000 troopers in the empire. Does this video consider those casualties? No. I wonder if this is the same guy that over states the number of separatists killed but under states the number of republic troopers killed.

    • @CommanderThireYT
      @CommanderThireYT  3 месяца назад +2

      Since this is the early imperial period we used the republic division numbers as that would mean over 20,000 troopers were in that one hanger, which would not be feasibly possible

    • @Kirifuki
      @Kirifuki 3 месяца назад

      @@CommanderThireYT A single Battalion in the republic had 661 troopers. A division is usually 6 times a battalion. Again, you undercount the number of casualties. Are you really just an ignorant Republic fanboy, or do you really feel bad about fictional soldiers dying? You overcount the droid deaths so it must be the case.

    • @CT-0292YT
      @CT-0292YT 3 месяца назад

      Pretty sure 20,000 troopers weren't possibly stationed in Mount Tantiss at the time. Also, a reminder that words by characters tend to be exagerated, Scorch couldn't have specifically meant 20,000 troops.
      Sounds like someone's salty over the amount of seppies counted

      When have I over counted droid deaths? what you are saying makes no possible sense that 20,000 troopers would be in that one area. The writers get it wrong sometimes. Also a division could be very small in the GAR such as the 212th recon division and the 332nd division so I did actually do my research
