The light is on! Yeah, the vault songs were written in the ‘fearless’ era but were not included on the album (around 2008). But they got a new production for the re record (Taylor’s version). The six songs from the vault were produced by Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff - ‘folklore’ and ‘evermore’ producers.
Back when Fearless TV came out this song also reminded me of a song but I couldn't quite place it. I think at the time my wondering about it kept me from really hearing Don't You and letting it sink in. I recently started playing the Fearless Taylor's Version in my car and it took until now for this song to really hit me. So now I am back listening to it and watching reactions from others and I am only now truly appreciating how hard this song hits. I did eventually think of the song that it made me think of, which was Separate Lives by Phil Collins. I'm sure that isn't the song it reminded you of but I had to comment, especially after you mentioned the 80s feel of the song. Don't You: Don't you smile at me and ask me how I've been Don't you say you've missed me if you don't want me again Separate Lives: And telling me how sorry you were Leaving so soon And that you'll miss me sometimes... You have no right to ask me how I feel You have no right to speak to me so kind
@@JSteezy Taylor wrote it for the Fearless album back when she was a teen. She rerecorded it now with Aaron Dessner for the rerecorded album now to get her masters.
Her melodic walk down vaguely reminds me of MY main man - Paul Simon! I don’t know music professionally, just the feel (hence my love for Swift) - but I’m sticking with my vernacular and correlation. And now I have to go listen to Paul Simon because I’m awake! Glad to have you back reacting…and to end on a Paul Simon pun: welcome back “IN THE BLUE LIGHT💡”
There's a song by Pink called Don't Leave Me and it might be that da da da part that matches the melody and the vibe sounds kinda similar if you imagine it to be a little more dreamy and less rock.
I absolutely LOoOve Simon and Garfunkel -- but sadly I just always say Paul Simon because...well we know why. His solo stuff is just as fulfilling. And I can hear what you mean with Don't Leave Me. ALL 3 (Taylor, Paul and Pink) are incredible songwriters. I actually recently RE-listened to Animals...that album is DIAMONDS 💎 I really like her Vault song, We Were Happy... looking forward to seeing your thoughts on that one!
@@JSteezyVideo content quality, hehe!! I didn't know if there's anything going on with your health though, I hope you're doing better either way aaanddd I enjoy your content!!! 🙏🏻
Would love to see your reaction to Renegade by Big Red Machine ft Taylor Swift. Big Red Machine is a collaboration project between Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon(lead singer of Bon Iver) both of whom worked on folklore and evermore :)
wow lights. I like this one. Its kinda simple and yea... dreamy is a good word for it. Its easy to listen to. Hey I got one for you. Sara Bareilles gave a tribute to Taylor last week when Taylor won the NMPA songwriters ICON award. She performed one of Taylor's very popular songs called Clean. Not sure you know this song. Its a good one, a popular one in the Swiftverse. You may like it. And, Sara Bareilles does an amazing job with it.
Woahh, did you see a video where I mentioned Sara? I think I brought her up one time. I'm a fan of her work but by now I may have heard more Taylor songs haha.
@@JSteezy I'm not sure I saw that video or not. If I did, I didn't put it together. Sara is great. I haven't jumped into a lot of her work, but I know she's a very respected songwriter and I love her voice. I hope you check out Sara's version of Clean, its a fan favorite among Taylor's catalog, but this version by Sara is just spectacular. its really special.
thank you for listening to this song !❤️ ive been waiting for your ts reactions lol. i do hope you can react to her cornelia street live performance. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/Vgt1d3eAm7A/видео.html i wish you'll notice this lol. thank you again !❤️
the way she sings "you don't know how much i feel i love you still" hits hard. i could really feel the emotion in her delivery there especially

check out her cover for "can't stop loving you" by Phil Collins, it sounds pretty much inspired from that song 🙏

Leaving so soon
And that you'll miss me sometimes...

I'm glad you enjoyed this song. This is my favorite of the bonus tracks.
I can see why. I liked this one the most so far.
Finally!!! Let there be light😂
This one was produced by Aaron Dessner. The guy who produced Folklore and Evermore. These were all written before but didn't make it to the album.
And these were all written for the same album, not different ones, right?

I love me some Simon and G but I don't know too much of his solo work, to be honest.

I can’t explain why but I hear Olivia Newton John singing Hopelessly Devoted to You from Grease.
