I know this song isn't targeted toward me in my mid-30s...but was it added to my playlists after the first listen? Absolutely! My shoulders were bouncing!

Its a pre release to their upcoming album alongside their main comeback "Love Me Like This" on March 20.
the fact that the song tells how they are enjoying their weird (more on unlikely) concept freely makes me wanna stan them so bad.
I knew that some people wouldn’t like the song coz of the nursery rhyme thing that they put it in to the song (like i understand that its very childish for anyone that’s to matured when it comes to music) but for me i like it, i like the idea that they put something that we never thought it would be (you know, very nmixx thing like what they did in funky glitter Christmas) like their tag line “expect the unexpected”… so yeah, for me i like it. Anyways, thanks for the honest reaction and opinion. 😊🙏
fr tho, like the only childish thing in this song is the melody of the chorus while other idols sing about teddy bear and ice cream, also others makes a birthday song into a comeback 😭
@@drew1944 It's really good honestly, I like the whole song except the chorus though- Like if you're going to claim to bring something new to k-pop, don't sample a kids' song and claim "it's a new genre-" There are songs that SOUND like children songs, but never one that sampled it, and even if they did usually, it sounds way different from the song and it's usually dark in a way.
@@drew1944 "Ice Cream" was a sexual song, using ice cream as an innuendo, which has been used before, a whole different thing. Also, birthday-themed songs usually have sexual/romantic undertones (sometimes) and generally having fun is the main theme. This Nmixx song sampled a kids' song, while the others didn't, so this argument doesn't really make sense.
It's totally the opposite IMO only people who are too IMMATURE when it comes to music would freak out about the nursery rhyme part.

NMIXX is a group I'm really liking because I don't know what they're gonna release next with their music because it's always a surprise
I think some people just need to chill like NMIXX is not for everybody they knew that when making this group and manufacturing the sound for this group that it was going to mixed reviews, they knew that this group would not be for everybody so if you know you don’t like NMIXX please by all means, go listen to a group you like and stop with the negativity. (Btw this is not directed at the reactors in this video)

I sang that nursery Rhyme too when I was a kid. And it felt nostalgic hearing it again.
I love this song so much
i think of it as them mocking haters with the childish sound of a nursery rhyme, turning something simple and well known into something different and great. i bet people probably hate on them for being so young but they continue to do what they please and are not apologetic about it

Happy that they moved away from the hard girl crush genre switching music to being more silly and cute.....it suits these girls so much better and highlights their personalities. Funny how you said you don't like the lyrics.....in korean the lyrics are a LOT more deep and QUITE witty (as far as the switching between english and korean and double meanings with what english words sound like in korean). The english translations are kinda crappy too.

@@riza5999 Yes, another version later as well many others. The controversy of the real meaning of the Three Blind Mice probably had it discredited which is understandable but it is that real one

@@poptoqia yes, that's why i mentioned two versions of the song. I mentioned the french version because i'm most familiar to it and then mentioned the english version since we're talking in english here

If it was about three blind mice, I just talked about frere jacques because its instrumental (if the word can be used for nursery rhymes) seemed closer to what nmixx used than to three blind mice's instrumental to me (+ the "ding dang dong" they say)

You might be getting too old for kpop which seems to be aiming at Gen Z now. I liked it. I liked the message (always love a positive message in a song). But I can see where 'older' fans (like myself) might not feel it. Maybe let your kids react to these, give the chair over to the next gen. They aren't calling anyone young dumb and stupid. They are saying that is all they hear from people these days about themselves. And it's not a new message. You loved Dalla Dalla when ITZY debuted with a VERY similar message, that said people talk negatively about them and they don't care. But somehow when NMIXX comes through with a similar message you didn't like it?
