@@chrisneyman Yeah I made a list of about 20 and then trimming the last 2 or 3 was hard but I don't remember exactly which one maybe Halloween, The Dreaming tree were among them
Love this video. Missed the ghost notes and double pedal. Carter also plays open hand left hand dominant instead of traditional right hand crossed over.
Personal opinion, but these explorations of professional drummers, rankings of their music by difficulty, and examples of what make them unique are my favorite content on your channel. Not to say the original/other stuff is bad, but you're analysis of drummers I'm familiar with is really engaging. I like learning from you in a familiar context. Would you be able to look at some metal and hardcore drummers in the same way? Matt Greiner (Daddy Good Posture) from August Burns Red, Thomas Pidgeon of the Mars Volta, Brian Lada of Belmont, Jake Massucco of Four Year Strong, and Kevin Otten/Kevin Kaine of Knocked Loose. not all of these drummers are exactly "legendary" in popularity or recognizability but all of them are excellent musicians with music of varying degrees of difficulty. Thank you!
The funny thing about Carter is: I hear DMB and see him play and am like, “Everything this dude does is cool. I wish he would stop it.” I don’t care for his playing song wise.
If you think DMB is “cliche feel good music” you clearly have not listened to much of his catalogue.. lol Listen to Halloween, The Last Stop, Madman’s Eyes, Raven, What you are, Don’t Drink the Water, Shotgun, .. I could go on
If you have any question about these songs or Carte Beauford drumming ask in the comments.
The trick to carter's sound are the ghost notes to his sound. It makes every song way different.
Syncopation
My favorite drummer. 😍
And Carter is a close 2nd. 😁
You are the best! 😊
you are missing the other bass pedal which Carter uses and adds even more coordination and structure
Man I wish you would have kept going on all of the songs. I enjoyed hearing you play them.
Thanks! I think you would enjoy this playlist then: ruclips.net/p/PLVjabARatXFaSnNybWsCfucBVgCILTIPQ
@@Pietro.Valente Indeed! Keep up the good work!
@@OldsXCool Yes!
Love, love, love your feel when playing Carter stuff. Well done, as always. ♥️
It was a lot of fun!
@@Pietro.Valente did you have any other standout tunes you did not get to cover in the video? Any that were a whole lot of fun to dig into?

I love your channel. Thanks for making this content.
Thanks for watching!

Carter got me into drumming
good video. Carter is one of the best drummers in the world.
Although you forgot in your video the most useful fill used by Carter, the Herta Fill.
Thanks! I didn't forget the Herta fill here are a couple 3:58 6:45
holy crap...he missed all the ghost notes on the hi hat. try #41 again. but his say goodbye was solid.

Thanks for the feedback, I will consider your suggestion, for some of them I may do a video in the future. It may take time thou.
@@Pietro.Valente NO RUSH, I'm stoked you even read this haha thanks :D

I knew 41 would be here
Yeah it's kind of a must in a DMB top 10
Beau master of odd time signature right?
Well...there are other drummers more specialized than him on odd meters but he's definitely good at that!
Damn good work!! You have a new subscriber
Excellent, thanks!
In terms of influences on Carter, you missed Billy Cobham (open handed!); Dennis Chambers; and Jack DeJohnette
I prefer to stick to what Carter himself said on multiple interviews
@@Pietro.Valente I have heard Carter mention those influences specifically in interviews
@@hungrypo to be honest I focused on 3 interviews and he was mentioning the drummers I show in the influence tree considering them the most cited
Gotta raise the high hat and right cymbals. Otherwise some fantastic analysis.
Beauford is pronounced Bo-Ford. Not a big deal but gotta respect the monster he is!
Ok thanks 👍🏻
Missing Carter's second pedal is noticeable to hear. An error and an oversight in making this video/demonstration.
Try playing open handed
But he would play it open handed
Fraud
Never heard of the guy and I like his style, but good lord, that slimey kitschy cliche feel good music makes me wanna vomit.
Hahaha! You are more of a metal guy I guess
You've probably heard like 3 or 4 of their songs at best and you judge their entire catalog. 😆
A lotta backwards cap bros and woo girls.
