- Madison is the capital of the state of Wisconsin. The city of Madison was built on an isthmus, a narrow strip of land between lakes Mendota and Monona. At the southwest end is Wisconsin’s State Capitol building.
The free tours highlight the building's stonework, art and architecture. The tour begins in the rotunda. Next is the Governor's conference room, followed by the Hearing Room. The Wisconsin Supreme Court is shown. Finally, both chambers of the Wisconsin legislature are covered, the Wisconsin State Senate and Wisconsin State Assembly.
Big thank you to our tour guide Steve. Get ready to see some badgers!

It’s very cool that the capital is open every day for the public to tour and explore. I’ve lived in Wisconsin since 2010 and I just visited the capital happenstance while having breakfast with a friend down town. We walked there and it was open. It’s even more impressive in person. This was a great video
Thank you! It is a cool spot to visit, and has a lot of neat features.
Great tour and video. I am going to Madison next month, and plan to tour the Capitol. This gives an excellent preview.
Thank you! It is a very beautiful building with lots of history. You will have a good time.
Wow! he let you record his whole tour. Cool

Oh, I’m planning to do the tour but this helps!!
Definitely worth seeing it in person!
