I am so grateful for Ruth Ozeki, as a teacher ..even through, or especially through, her fiction. Her paraphrasing of the Dogen quote regarding the potential the 'Myriad things' to enlighten us reminds me of St Bonaventure writing on Imagio Dei - the traces of Divinity in everything and also the concept of Non-Duality investigated in Advaita Vedanta etc - No separation between self and other ..or between self and all of creation. A knowing beyond words - beyond faith systems. How lucky we are to have access to all of these insights...framed in concepts, words and the material world...but ultimately leading us beyond to the emptiness of form...and fearlessly
