that is the power of animation over live action, you can be really really creative with the way characters move, and people forget that.
Seeing stuff like this still being made to this day makes me lowkey wish that High Guardian Spice was actually good because as fun as it is to dunk on bad shows, I'd rather see a good show succeed

anyways, i genuinely love the goofiness put into this, it’s so silly and it gives it more personality lol
with the limited budget they put most of the effort in colors and backgrounds rather than expressiveness and visual humor.
this is honestly better than the original.
if this was colored and a bit more detailed then i would love it as a show

Title is incorrect, this is actually animated with a higher budget than the original.
It is called *High* Guardian Spice because the writers, animators, and voice actors were high while making the show
As someone else pointed out this is why expressions are crucial in scenes like this especially when the voice actors were not given good acting direction.
How was I only recommended this masterpiece now? This is a million times better than the original!

Ever since HGS was lanched I wished it got another season, just because it has the potential to be a huge hit and be a great show, magical girls, anime tropes on western cartoon, plenty of sapphic ships, a fan favorite chaotic anti-hero side group, SO MUCH LORE AND WORLDBUILDING POTENTIAL THROWN INTO THE TRASH FOR A LACKLUSTER THING THAT DOESN'T EVEN KNOW IF IT'S FOR ADULTS OR KIDS!
I wish there was a second season, just so I can watch more videos like this
