I'm so glad you tried these strings like i recommended in your other video! I have a love hate with Thomastik. My favorites from them right now are the Infeld Red Blue, PI and Rondo. The Rondo works on my 1900 German violin whereas the PI work on my modern violin. I haven't used pI in a while since I don't have any performances coming up. Right now I'm testing out Pirastro Perpetual Original and Cadenza

Hi, have you tried the Warchal Timbre Strings? From what they’ve been saying on their site it’s their best ones yet, I loved the Ambers so I have think they at least can compete with some High-end. I haven’t any reviews yet, so I think you would be one of the first:).
The Rondos sounded nasal too me. They seem to have power but your different instrument made it hard to tell. WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HEAR ON YOUR JARGAR VIOLIN.

I am no one of importance, authority, just a critical amateur with time to us as I choose. :-)
Basically, as a beginner or even intermediate player you aren't able to play the strings to their full potential (yet), or the instrument is not nuanced enough to make a big enough difference to justify more "professional" (and expensive) strings. Either way, you wouldn't be getting your money's worth. At those levels it makes sense to get some "decent" (and cheaper) strings such as Pirastro Tonica or Thomastik Dominant that give you a good enough base sound to just play and learn until you can get the most out of those strings. Then you can worry about more advanced strings that let you make "colours in between colours" and all that, or you may find that Dominants, Tonica, etc. easily let you do everything you want to. I use loop E for many years, never broke a string.
