“Flight Of Icarus” is a song by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden released April 1983 and was the first single off of their album “Piece Of Mind”. The song is based on the ancient Greek myth of Icarus, with the single’s cover being a parody of the myth, which portrays the band’s mascot, Eddie, winged, holding a flamethrower, causing Icarus’ death.
