In Search of PAPAGAYO

Join me as I try to find my way back to the idyllic beaches of PAPAGAYO on Lanzarote. I remember driving a little Fiat Panda off road to get there back in the early 80's. Will they still be as unspoiled as they were back then?

According to my follow-along map, that first beach is called Playa de la Mujeres (Women's Beach), followed by Playa de la Cera (Wax Beach), and finally Playa de Papagayo (Parrot Beach). Had you gone a bit further there are two small restaurants overlooking the beach. The photos show grilled fish and ice cold drinks of varying types. Thanks for another good venture into lands I've never seen, Shaun & Nina, and we'll come along again on your next adventure. 🏖🌍

Thanks Joseph. Most people who got to the third beach went by car, but if I'm there on a slightly cooler day I'll definitely walk all the way. Cheers!

Walked it last year from Lanzarote Princess, was a beautiful walk, took a couple of hours but well worth it for a cocktail and lunch at the bar overlooking Papagayo beach!

I didn't make it to the farthest beach but will definitely do it next time
