Hey friend. Definitely try this with water. I think the water really activates the product. It’s very similar to African pride or just for me, it just feels a little wetter. If I’m shopping NLS, I usually pick one up.

What’s your favorite product from NLS?

NLS is my number one detangler. I wish they made it in a 16oz. But everything isn’t for everybody. I think the African pride one is just okay. It dried my hair out even when I added water. It darn near knotted my daughter’s hair and had me shook thinking I would have to big chop it. Since then it’s been NLS and I’m not changing anytime soon. I stick on sales.
Oh and both our hair were coming out of protective styles. My daughter from braids no extensions. Me just regular two strand twists.

Good to hear. I have in two strand twists now and I’m planning on using the NLS again just to see if anything changes. I’ve had products I didn’t care for at first but after multiple uses now I love it. Once you find what works you don’t switch up, I feel you!

My African Pride prepoo performed the same for a fraction of the price & I don’t really care for that one either 😩😩
If I have to wet my hair first, I’m just gonna use a rinse out conditioner or detangle with my deep conditioner..

Waittt bc I loveee that African pride pre poo 😫💯💯. Water always helps loosen up my tangles and makes my hair more manageable but this NLS pre poo took off with a little water 🙌🏾. Idk if you saw my video where I retried it

I haven’t tried it. African pride is my preference and Pattern transition mask(coming out of protective styling). I like the nectar for root build up but I feel like I had to use too much water before applying to my shaft

I loveeee the African pride one!! The pattern transition mask I wasn’t applying on wet hair so I can’t wait to run it back bc I got a sneak peek of the slip on wet hair and OMGG 😩😍😍 LOVEEEE
