I see their faceups as really similar but the eyes and Laura's general demeanor seems different from Seila. Thanks for the review, I know what to expect a bit with my Laura coming in soon😘☺
FINALLY, I have her! Got Laura from Pullip Style, on sale at 95$US. She look AMAZING with Aira. Truly, the Aira and Laura team look like cool ringleaders of a steampunkish freak circus! I *LOVE* it!
In fact, I have read that Laura is a kind of "new Seila", someone customized Seila like this, and then Groove chose to use this idea. This is why she appeard on Dolly Japan! There will be another version of her soon, pullip Alura. Can't wait to see her!
Marie Colombe Neither can I! I hope Pullipstyle carries her on Pre-order, since Groove is always pricier than Pullipstyle. I did a comparison of Seila and Laura and their faces do seem very similar. But they are styled differently so it does not matter to me!
I have read Pillip Laura is designed by the same lady that designed Pullip Bloody red Hood. She goes by pure_embers on Flickr. Her Photography is amazing
I adore her! She is beautiful and has a goth flair yet a touch of innocence, though I really want to take her hair out, I'm too scared I'll ruin her :(
+Omocha Crush Acctually, you can take them out, though it turns out very blegh but very easy to style, my cousin has her and took out her braids and curled them, and I'd have to say, it was very pretty :3
She looks a bit like Seila, they definitively have the same eyebrows, but her eyechips are so different... Which makes her look eerie. The black and dark hair also gives her a darker look. Seila looks like a very sweet Gothic girl, but she is harmless. As for Laura... that girl has supernatural powers.
Beatriz Bertini It's true! Someone asked if I would switch Seila and Laura's clothes to see how similar they really are. What an interesting exercise! I may have to try that!
Thank you so much for this review - I had been waiting! lol I was on the fence about getting her because I personally didn't like the exposed garter, but you said that it can be removed right? I am dying to see her with her hair down. I read somewhere that Pullip Laura was a redressed and rechipped Pullip Seila, so it is definitely essentially the same faceup. Great review as always!
All About Pullip The faceup is strikingly similar, but those eyes and the stock certainly make her very unique. The garters can be removed and like you I am dying to see her with her hair down!! MUST RESIST.... :)
They're both beautiful 😍 I just got Seila before she went out of stock again. I love them both but Seila is the prettier of the two. Still waiting for Laura to come back
Hi omocha crush i was wondering if you could give me some advice because i want to buy Pullip Laura for my first Pullip doll and she is really cheap she's only $95
For years I chose to look the other way when it came to Pullips because of the price. I finally gave in yesterday and purchased Rche on eBay after watching your review of her. Can't wait to get her! You've mentioned staining in a few of your videos. Does this happen because of the type of plastic the dolls ar ed made of? Will you keep the plastic on this doll? Thanks. I really enjoy your videos.
TooMuchWonderful Congrats on your first Pullip! I keep the plastic on most of my Pullips, except for the arm on some of them. I believe the staining happens probably due to the colors and the type of fabric materials. I say this because, when I got Pullip Peter Pan, her purple belt had stained her light green blouse, so it may not just be the material the doll is made out of.
TooMuchWonderful Hi there! The staining comes from the dark color fabrics that - when in contact with the plastic for too long - tend to stain. Groove anticipates this by covering the doll in plastic. Many of the dolls available are also older models, so you can imagine what happens after long periods. Anyway congrats on Rche she is lovely!!!
I just got Laura and she was already stained at the hip when I removed all of her plastics. Yes, she will surely stain further, but she will always keep her original outfit anyway and I'm not fond of displaying naked dolls. Plus the anti-stain plastic look horrible. So yeah, I un-plastic'd both Aira and Laura without regrets.
I'm fairly certain that Laura is based on a partially customised doll by Pure Embers, (who designed her) and Celia was the base doll used which is why their face-ups are so similar.
Hey Angie! This doll was inspired by a woman named Laura, here is her flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/pure_embers/ she takes beautiful photos and creates amazing Pullip looks.
Do you think Laura Would do a great new doll? I want kinda a bit of a "bad ass" But still pretty cute...her face is adorbs! So what do you think? (Sry if i spell something wrong) xD
Hannah Loves Pullip I love your comment! Yes, she's perfect for what you want. She has attitude but her face is so sweet. Pull back the bangs and she actually has this sad expression. Her stock is amazingly made also. :)
She's absolutely beautiful!
