5:42 If the trick is arranged as you say, why there is no number 37 when she separates the 7 card? We can see something hapening at that moment. Is she sending something to the bottom of the deck, or adding something from the bottom of the deck?
If she were separating a double, when she "skillfully applies a slight force" to the 6 diamonds, we would see a 2 of spades or 9 of diamonds underneath, which we don't. I don't think there are doubles: I think it's single thin cards: 52 regular cards with 37 written on the back, then 26 2 of spades with odd numbers and 26 9 of diamonds with even numbers, shuffled together. There's no need to have them stuck together: when she shows the backs and faces at the start of the trick, she only shows the first 52 of the fronts to show random cards and only shows the first 52 of the backs to show the numbers. Your way might be a better way in terms of the deck being able to show the whole deck, but I don't think that's how she did it.
That explanation actually makes a lot more sense and is more foolproof.
So Penn lied when he said she fooled them. He used the word "thinner" when talking to her, and while the audience thinks that's just banter, he's actually saying the gist of how the trick is done. For some reason he acts like the second part couldn't have been done the same way as the first part.

The question is if they knew the first part , why they say they were fooled by the last part of the 37, according to your explanation if they fugue out the first, it's the the similar technique used , so they were lying saying she fooled them.
It's good for ratings.

Since I saw the original video, I thought it was fishy that all three cards were found so quickly after she started looking for them. She never had to look through the bottom half. This explains it.
Well, she did, for the second number. And the explanation given doesn't suggest that she would only have to look through the top half.
I picked the number 37 as my choice, then she was like don't pick that one. Funny
Pretty much how i expected it was done... I find it hard to believe they were actually fooled... I'm not buying that
Honestly I thought they were lying to the audience about her supposedly being in Scotland and that they just pre-planned the whole trick.
There may be something to this. When this was recorded she would have been under 18. Which means that not only would she have had to have a parent sign off on her being there but that likely apparent or legal guardian would need to be there with her as she was under the age of 18. Since Penn supposedly did not know she was there and her mother was not in the country that's fishy. As if she was under 18 someone had to either know or be there that was in the know. So I wonder if Penn did know she was going to be there and just pretended that he did not. Perhaps he knew she was going to perform but did not know the trick that she was going to perform
Penn says on his podcast that they have no clue who is going to be on the show. Even if it's their close friend. So I'm sure Moxie was accompanied by a legal guardian if that's the case but as far as him not knowing , I believe it .
I was in the audience for this episode's filming, it felt like a real surprise. She was mega spilling her spaghetti for the whole surprise so to speak, something you couldn't act out well. But I felt like no matter what her Dad was going to claim fooled no matter what for his daughters sake.....
She said it was 2 months in the making. So I believe she was doing stupid card tricks, knowing that they knew how she was doing it, to find out what numbers and cards they would pick the most. So it wasn't just fooling them on the show, but for the last 2 months. I believe that's why they gave it to her.
