Sometimes it makes me really sad to see this young and brilliant, up and coming band with a dynamic lead singer, knowing his fate in little more than a decade later. I have both "Welcome To Wherever You Are" and "Full Moon, Dirty Hearts" and they both rock. The world was grunge, which had its place, but this band was still vital and so was Michael. There should have been someone there to help him, to watch over him.
I got turned on to INXS on KROQ, because of "The One Thing" off the same album this great song is from "Shabooh Shabah." I was hooked on their sound ever since, but unfortunately, I never saw them live. They are one of my top six or seven bands ever.
I think i watched this with my mom in 83' . we had like 4 channels. It was in late night friday or Saturday. When i look back now it makes me sad. This was when music was incredible !
Perkins Palace - wow haven't heard that name in a while. I remember my sister saw Flock of Seagulls there during the KROQ craze. Then in the late 80s my friend saw Guns N Roses there. I never went there personally, wish I had. Thanks for posting the video!
@mtgarrett It's weird, and you probably knew this, but Michael Hutchence went to the 10th grade at North Hollywood High School. Apparently he liked it a lot, and started writing poetry there. It's funny when he say's "Are you gonna get off your osses, or should I say asses?" He's still practically a kid here. Kirk Pengilly sings great harmony on this song.
This is my favourite INXS song. Michael is so charismatic here - and he was only 23 years old! Amazing.
RIP Michael Hutchence

Just Love That Harmony, just right! RIGHT!
Amazing!
Wish I saw Michael live... JD just didn't cut it
Michael had more presence and on stage charisma than the current offerings Harry Styles and Ed Sherrin will ever have this is a true front man.
IT'S arses Michael xx
