Leave it to Poe to not only make up a fake news story about a transoceanic ballon flight - but to actually make it incredibly believable. I guess if you were an engineer or math whiz (I am neither) you might have some issues with the specifications provided but to the average reader it makes it seem believable. If those balloons were real and I could afford one, I’d want one! 🎈🎈🎈
