My moisture routine may upset you 😅

- My moisture routine is simple, when I’m in the shower I let the steam my hair. That’s generally enough. Every 4th or 5th shampoo I follow up with @drbronner Citrus Hair Rinse but I use it sparingly. It takes me almost 6 months to finish a bottle.
I don’t really use oils in my locs anymore, and if I do it’s because my hair is BONE DRY. What do y’all do to moisturize? In the early days I used to dilute my favorite leave in but as my locs matured it all just seemed too much.

Yo! Thank you for letting people know you don’t need 15 $30 products for healthy hair. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You definitely don't, and these companies rely on the fact that most people don't realize this.
That concept in similar with facial products!
Yesssss. Keep doing what works for YOU! Your locs look so airy, healthy, and clean 😊 A lot of the time, less is always more.
Good lookin' out on mentioning the Dr. Bronner's Citrus Organic Hair Rinse, which i'm today years old after hearing about it. 🙂
They don't really advertise it alot and it's getting harder to find too. I'm scared they're going to eventually discontinue it.
@@hallease just saw it on Amazon...may just put my issues with that company aside to purchase it there while i can.
@@househead67What issues?
A year later I’m happy to say Amazon still has it 😊 gonna have to try
I don't use a shower cap. Just the steam from my showers too to moisturise my locs
Love how she talks and her relaxing voice.
Less chemicals the better, love this
Fellow locd person (😂 lol didn’t know what to say) your hair looks good to me. I’d stick to what you know, and your locs are probably as strong as they because you don’t have a lot of build up from products
I had to say your voice is so soothing 😭 bless your soul & thanks for these videos
I don't have locs but that's the same way I moisturize my hair. The warm air and droplets make my hair moist.
Can we more loc videos please you seem to have abandoned this topic and it's why I initially followed you.
My hair and routine has changed in years so it doesn't seem worth it to do full videos, that's why i'm starting to post more hair updates through YT shorts. When I see enough people asking the same questions I make a short answering it.
I’m loc’d 7 years also. And I was taught simple the better, but along the way I picked back up on hair grease via a hair stylist. Now it’s good to see others who stick to healthy non toxic routines.
I need an audiobook of just her speaking 😅lol
Yoooooo!!!, I can remember when I saw you when your locs were shoulder length, they have grown and so beautiful!!! I can wait yo😌
You’re so pretty and I love your voice it’s so soothing 🫶🏾
You have no idea how blessed you are, honey.
It grew a lot and looks beautiful. Suits you.
Ya mon, me a natural gal like you. Me afi run get that Dr. Bonners. Citrus. Thanks.
& The Locs are looking AMAZING 🥹😍🌱so beautiful . As much as I love Dr. Bronners , I’ve never heard of that hair rinse , wow . Thank you !!
That Stuff Actually Works Way Better Than I Expected I Was Amazed
So beautiful. Love you and your locks so much! Respect.
Your locs are so beautiful!
Awesome ⭐️
Your authentic in how you care for your beautiful crown/ your content over all. Blessings
Simple and effective! Beautiful locs🤎
You have perfect locs 💯🤘
Love your loc
You are stunning 😍👑🍫
Love your locs. So natural so beautiful.
Thank you ☺️
You’re so beautiful 😍
So awesome! I do this same moisture routine using the shower steam for my loose hair. And people wonder why my bleached curly hair is almost to my waist. I try to keep things simple!
Locs look great
That's close to how I moisturize mine. I use a moisturizing shampoo, and moisturizing/strengthening treatment once a month. The rest if the time I wear my hair down, and let my shower water steam my hair.
i do that too girl lol except without locks
You are beautiful!🌹
Girl u are golden ❤
I love steaming mine 😫❤️
you are gorgeous i love your locs too!!
Aw thank you!
Thank you for this video . I am taking my shower cap off as we speak… 😂😇
I love the citrus 🍊 one the only one I use .a little goes along way
Beautiful
So beautiful 😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
I literally do the same thing. Minus the Dr.
That's what I do in the shower when I want my afro to be smaller and denser, I just go in the shower with no shower cap hair combed out and done lol
Mine and my daughter's exact routine and both of our hair is down our back after only 4 1/2 years for me and 2 years for her.
I have the same hair texture but mine has been dry lately. Trying to embrace the frizzy roots but it’s hard.
I jus started doing this (no shower cap) for moisture...i just thought to myself one day...why am i covering my locs when i can get moisture while showering?!
I've never heard of that rinse. I've been styling with lottabody after clarifying it worked really well until it started exercising daily. I'm running 3+ miles a day and I just can't give that up for shiny hair but i can't wash it everyday😮
i promise the shower steam moisturizes my hair for me. if i’m running late i’ll get up and spray water in my hair and use tea tree oil but that’s about it tbh
You’re beautiful
Thanks for sharing
Wow I do the same thing!!!
I use a steamer 😊
I may have to do this. When i oil my hair even before locs my face neck and shoulders were oily a couple hours later.
👀 sounds like you're putting way too much
I tried using conditioner in my locks, and it didn’t turn out well 😢 maybe I should’ve diluted it in an applicator bottle like you did
I live in AZ, the heat really makes my hair thirsty. Tried to keep it moisturized and soft but it still dries out. Any tips
You're beautiful
You don't do lemongrass leave in anymore?
Whoa! You’ve been watching me for a while! Nah, I don’t use it anymore. Trying to be as minimal as possible
I’m not loc’d but we moisturize the same way
So the times when you don't use the hair rinse, you just shampoo and that's it? Do you spray any kind of "moisture spritz" or anything in your hair? Your hair looks amazing!
Nope. I just shampoo and go
So u wash your hair weekly
Yeah they gone be mad but oh well🤷🏾♀️ when you know ya know...
How often the you wash your hair? What products do you use
What about for baby locs?
Did you dye your ends or are they naturally getting lighter over time?
Naturally getting lighter over time
Less is more sometimes!
My scalp is beyond dry, I am pregnant so I think that has something to do with it. I drink water like the depleting resource that it is, and my scalp is still itchy and DRYYYYY! Please HELP ME!🙌
You need to partner with headspace or calm and do meditation VO.
What is your experience with leaving this hair rinse in your hair? Do you have to rinse it out? I wonder if it would be okay to leave it in your hair after rinsing with it a few times. I wonder if you have to rinse it all out.
I would recommend rinsing it all out while in the shower.
Locs or bald headed...those are the only styles I will have for the rest of my life. Low to no maintenance is life.🎉
Gurl same! I've literally said the same thing. Either I'm semi-freeform loc'd or the hair is cut low.
I don't wear a shower cap either
How do you remove or prevent lint?
Brushing helps but honestly its pretty unavoidable unless you're keeping your hair covered almost all the time.
Does this mean no conditioner?
Conditioner + locs = no no
One of the greatest advantages of having kinky hair we could literally wash our hair like hardly ever and it would still be clean ( of course water rinse and oil appliances from time to time)
Soo me!
Please consider ASMR 😊
Water alone doesn't moisturize the hair, try using rose water
Tried it, didn’t notice a difference
Water/steam doesn’t moisturize your hair. It hydrated it. You should use some oil. Your hair looks dry
Your hair is very beautiful, ver clean. But it doesn’t look moisturized.
Her hair is dry 😢
But your hair doesn't look moisturized...
If by moisturized you mean shiny/greasy because of a thick product, then yeah nah, it doesn’t look like that.
