I've been maining Azir for 3 Season now (started playing 4 seasons ago) and he's absolutely my favorite champ by far compared to the rest, its not even close. I'm sure I'll learn something new by the end of the video. Another thing i learned for azir is deciding after your ult if u want to put your w and getting used to where they are landing so you can put ur w and put in damage as fast as possible or if you want to get out
As an azir main and a member of the Shok church I want to thank you. All your vids including this one are always so informative and well put together. However I didn’t see u talk about the hob lindens combo. Bc 1 soldier on 1 target reduces luden xd by .5. And 2 soldiers 1 target 1 sec etc… I find myself going hob ludens often because u legit one shot squishies after dcap 3rd and are able to prod ludens at least 2-4 times each fight. Especially with ingenious hunter I’ve put up some crazy ludens passive dmg in games. U still think liandries is the way to go?

i been building crown into shadowflame every game and the last day or so i started to implement the new builds you recommend and its genuinely like night and day, big up bro
One cool tip regarding them having vision of you if they see solider is you can take advantage of it and use it as bait. For example, so many times (mainly in higher elo) I purposely leave a solider in the middle of the lane to bait them to stop my recall. When they come to stop my recall I do full combo (w,e,q,r) them into tower and kill almost every time.

Shok, this is constructive criticism. At 2:22 when you explain the runes, you say that cut down is "the only one that really does anything" which doesn't really explain anything lol. Just wanted to share this with you. It would be great to get an in-depth but simple explanation as to why it is more useful than the other two rune options. Thanks for reading!
Fair enough, for this specific example coup de grace just never really adds any damage. You can look at it at the end of the game and normally it's sub 200. Last stand is good if you're a bit closer to the enemy but Azir has a lot of range and should be untouched for most of the fight.

Aight I will remember to do this improvement tier list! Yeah anti mage sounds good, can be either liked ranged anti mage (Syndra, Vik, Ori) or melee anti mage (Fizz, Irelia)
i actually really like crown for these reasons: its cheaper, saving 400 gold feels pretty nice on a champ like azir I also think the passive is really good, after like 4 items you get quite a ap boost just from the passive and it gives you some extra life, getting life on azir feels really good, i think azir can be shut down easy if caught, some extra life can really make the difference

I am an azir main and got plat from silver in about a month and i had a couple questions. ive been going pta blackfrie rush into nashors and it feels really good for skrimishing. I was wondering why blackfire is worse than liandrys (especially vs squishy comps as early game blackfire would deal more) Also since liandrys no longer gives mana i like the chapter in lane a lot. In addition id like to know how viable pta is as a rune for azir or if it just gets outscaled too hard by conq.
imo Azir doesn't really value mana or ability haste so blackfire just has a lot of wasted stats. I haven't actually tried PTA, but I assume it is pretty good in the early mid game.

If you want another control mage style pick syndra is great she scales hard as well so I’d say try her out you’ll feel much stronger early than you do with azir but she’s a much more getting picks oriented champ in my opinion

It's good but it's just really hard to fit in the build. You can't really get it before maybe 4th item (if you don't need void) but if you get to 5 or 6 items normally it'll be a solid choice
Any tips for playing into champs like viktor or ori, i feel like whatever you do as azir in those lanes they will out trade you for the first 10-15 minutes, and it usually makes you fall pretty far behind.
Corrupting pot + TP, probably take 2nd wind vs Viktor as well. Orianna is mainly about good positioning and dodging the ball but Viktor is a bit jungle reliant, pure 1v1 he beats you pretty hard but you have really good gank setup at 6

I just played two games of azir in arena. Turns out, his soldiers do not apply attack or ability effects, meaning nashor's and the veigar augments are both useless on him :D
Can do, PoM is definitely less mana in lane but its better in teamfights and depending on if they're melee or ranged (affects how often you can use Q) you might be able to get away with no manaflow
Nowadays you want to go either conq or fleet depending on matchup (normally fleet vs skillshots/harder lanes, conq if you're greedy) and just rush nashors into either liandry (vs tankier teams) or lich bane (vs squishier teams)
nice Video, as an Azir main, i just dont agree with taking manaflow, i feel like its completely useless on azir, cant remember ever going oom on that champ, if you go oom on azir you re probably farming with w's permanently or sth.
also conqueror vs lethal. 100% the opposite of what you say. Conqueror is stronger in the earlygame than lethal. Attackspeed is a scaling stat, based on your champ level. Ap in the earlygame is a guaranteed dmg increase, also much stronger in skirmishes. Agree on the part that conqueror excallarates its usage once attackspeed is built. Usually rushing serkers does the job 1.1 k first item base and your early and midgame is far stronger than with lethal
I keep wondering if there isn't a solution to Nashors. The problem is that the passive doesnt work off soldier damage. Is there no way to replace the attack speed with berserker+dagger or something
what about gangplank?. is the matchup against gangplank difficult? you seem to have overlooked that one. I was a bit struggling agaisnt a GP today but every other laning phase was pretty easy
Cut down imo is a bit of a blunder regarding runes. Azir has one of the highest base health per level. Also the champ has several itempaths where you gain extra health. Coup de grace is much preferable imoy
Low Elo is probably where this problem is more forgiving actually. I always think that as long as I play clean, the opponents will eventually throw their lead at some point

I'd say he's solid enough, you're more worried about the game being lost a bit too early rather than the matchup itself. Like if someone countered me with Fizz I know I can go even, but I'm not sure about my side lanes. Overall though he's pretty up there, maybe only a couple champs better blinds atm (ahri)

I mean you have to sweat be careful play extra hard smart and safe on Azir ... Yet some one takes Master Yi or Katarina presses R and it is pentakill instantly... What i want to say playing Azir is HARD and worst part - its NOT REWARDED. RITO need to change his OLD RANGE back untill then champ is not playable - well only for masochists. PS It is true that Azir shines in late game its in 30 min .. But problem IS most games are won or surrendered under 20...

roaming, recalling and ambushing with azir is the hardest (hard as in annoying)

hmm I just default to ahri for my blind since she does well into most things and shes easy to play

I think there's no harm in trying it out, but if you find him too difficult you may wanna swap to something else

You can do but you're giving up a LOT of damage for it. If you really can't survive without it then you should but Liandry is sooo much better

You could berserker dagger but nashors has some pretty solid stats anyway, a lot of AS + 100 AP
Looked it up, nashors is 143% gold effecient without passive which is not bad actually but still a bit worse than other items effeciency wise

It's ok but most of the time you can either A. get more damage done in the lane with dring or B. it's a hard lane so you might need corrupting
How do you play azir correctly in low Elo when your game could be over before you hit 1 item or even level 6 in some games?
Plenty of games in low elo stall out and you should be able to carry those ones

If you can auto on CD but a lot of the time the conq will do more dmg especially when you're going in with ult... That being said I prefer LT anyway
