I also spray it on the wires under the dashboard, the wires of speakers at the back, etc. (I keep all the doors open for a long time for it to dry and all the toxic stuff to escape before using the car)

Not working in my case bro. I used it twice in 4 months, day before yesterday I spray it on wires approx. Whole engine bay area, even on both front tyre alloys, shockers etc. Empty whole bottle. But today when I starts car's ac feel some smell. Open ac filter found rat waste on it . When open bonnet found 1 rat roaming here and there. So in my case it is not effective.

Hi Aftab, You can use your car after half an hour of coat application. However, it is advisable to operate your car AC on internal circulation mode only for first 48 hours, after that you can open the external airflow or wash the engine bay with normal pressure.

No doubt good product . One needs to be very careful when spraying . If this is sprayed in the exterior painted areas the paint dulls and sometimes it peels off.

Hello there just wanted to ask a doubt !
It was my first servicing of my Tata Altroz the service advisor suggested me engine wax coating in order to protect it from rat as there are rats in my parking so I agreed to it after that today I took the delivery of my vehicle while driving there was some smoke coming out of the engine hood along with a weird smell, I enquired the same with the service centre they said there's no problem, as the engine heats up the wax is causing the smoke and it will last for at least 2-3 days, so my question is, does it happens when we do engine wax coating ?

Hi, Yes it does, smoke and light burning smell is usual after wax coat on the engine and it gets normal after an hour of drive, please get it inspect if you are still noticing the smoke.

Hi Shrikant.. Yes it is but do not spray it on open electric joints and exposed fuse boxes.

Hi, This coat completely stops rats from entering the car engine bay and wheel arches, rats normally cannot sustain strong smells like tobacco, naphthalene or paper-mint, this coat generates really strong smell which rats cannot even bear for a minute and most important this effect last long for months just avoid using high pressure wash in engine bay. Also, this product is not recommended for car cabin. Hope this helps.

You can expect Initial smoke or burning smell due to coat layer but the smell/smoke will disappear after sometime.

Hi Rajesh, Yes, you can use this in EV as well. Just avoid spraying it directly on the battery terminals.

Hi, there won't ne an issue even if you spray it on battery terminals. However, we would not recommend to do it because 3M offers a dedicated coat for battery terminals you can use that for best results.

You can wash after 48 hours, but try to avoid pressure washer and frequent washes for a longer effec.
After applying the spray if don't use the car for 48 hours. Then can I use the ac with outside air intake??
Hi Ashish, The reason company recommends to keep external air intake off is because this coat generates light fumes and burning smell for a day or two due to engine temperature and inhaling the airflow with coating fumes side effects. I would personally recommend to operate your car AC with outside air flow only after 48 hours of driving.

Hi Aditya, Try n spay some strong smell inside your car, like perfume or freshener, you use tobacco too. Rat usually cannot sustain the strong odors. Try to leave your car windows partially open after spraying the spray so that rat can escape easily. Hope this helps.

Hi, you can go for Fumigation this is the best & effective remedy so far. However, taking some Preventative Measures also makes sure it doesn’t happen again.

Hi, You can use this spray If the rat is inside your engine bay or tire arch, but not recommended for cabin use. And if the rat is inside your car cabin then please to catch it live because till date there is no product available to use inside your car for rat protection. it would be a disaster if the rat dies inside your cabin. hope this helps.

Hi, 3M doesn't recommend online purchase of their any products, this repellent coasts somewhere around 1500 at their franchise.
Regarding the use of this coat, it is recommended to spray it all over the engine bay (except battery terminals) and wheel arches, in short try to cover maximum plastic panels and wiring harness to keep the rodents away. Hope this helps.

Hi, You can use your car AC but it is strictly recommended to operate on internal circulation mode only do not switch on front or rear defogger for at least first 48 hours post spraying this product. Hope this helps.

Mostly single spray is sufficient for any size of cars. You need to cover only engine bay, wiring harness, wheel arcs and outside plastic panels, do not spray it on Paint or inside the cabin areas.

Hi Ayush, this is not a good sign, get your AC vents & wiring harness exit points inspected. possibly those are the points rats make their way into your car cabin.

Hi Hisham, Ye product cabin use ke liye recommended nahi hain, but aap isko engine bay, wheel arches and under boot spray kar sakte hain, Rats will stay away from your car for at least 4-5 months for sure.
Cabin ke liye you can use Tobacco or naphthalene balls, 1-2 weeks car ke cabin main rakh de, Rat are allergic to strong smells and will leave your car. Hope this helps.

This spary is waste of money..I myself purchased this spary from showroom and sprayed whole in engine bay but didnt worked..after 5-6 days i found rat in my engine bay

If you take a look at the comment section most of the online buyers are complaining about the effectiveness of this product where my experience is really good, I can see the difference after applying this quote. Yep lots of replicas online it's probably the one buying online that got ripped off just get it from a 3M store they even clean your engine bay and spray it for you all at 1000 bucks

Wish 3M would sell this in the USA or Canada. Just had $2000 damage done by a squirrel on my new car. Also, I wish car manufacturers would stop producing plastic products made with soy beans it only attracts more rodents.

Waste of money this product is a failure. Had done spray at 3M in Chennai and was promised one year protection. Rats have been ravaging my car and this is a failure product.
