A little known fact about penguins is they are terrible at bowling. See they don't have fingers to hold the balls.

Although I've often seen evidence of mountain lions , I've only seen one. I was driving on a unpaved road with beach on one side and a 8ish foot bluff on the other. It was hazy and at dawn. The shape in the road was indistinguishable, until it leapt onto the bluff, and I saw a long tail. It took me a few seconds to convince myself that there was no other animal it could have been.

Oldest animal bivalve and oldest animal invertebrate?
    But bivalves are invertebrates

In case you're feeling a little left out, don't worry:
    - Humans are by far the best at throwing, both in distance and accuracy.
    - We're also exceptionally good runners; Popular Mechanics estimates that if all species participated in a marathon, we'd come in fifth. (Admittedly the ranking was a bit wonky, because they compared the human record rather than average, and two of the top 6 species were specifically bred _by humans_ for high endurance.)
Also, we're the only animal with a true chin. :-3

    • @TestUser-cf4wj
      @TestUser-cf4wj 12 дней назад

Yeah, highly accurate throwing is kind of an animal superpower. To be fair though, only animals that are capable of bipedalism can throw at all, and not even all bipedalists can do that (no birds allowed). Mostly, throwing is limited to primates. It's not like we humans have a lot of competition.

    Part 3
    x In relation to bats:
o The first bat I remember seeing was the ones on strings on Sesame Street that looked silly, I think they would come out with The Count was part of the episode.
o Probably the next one I saw was in relation to Looney Tunes-like cartoon where the baseball bat-boy looked like an actual boy that was a bat!
o Probably the third time I saw a bat was when the classic vampires turned into bats.
o There were bats in our church and we had to create some type of trap for them, I remember how strange that bat urine smelled in the area where we were not able to catch them!
o My brothers and I used to watch the original Batman tv series.
o The Batmobile in the film Batman was the coolest car and everyone wanted it after seeing the film!
o The Batman villian that I hope makes it to the films is The Mad Hatter.
o I really hope that the Batman films bring back Poison Ivy.
o To be batty is slang for being insane (Collins Dictionary)
o B.A.T. in the G.I. Joe Universe are Battle Android Troopers
o BAT in the medical field can mean Blunt Abdominal Trauma.
    x For shells:
o We used to joke about the conch shell that they used in the book Lord of the Flies
o Oysters Rockefeller is a famous food that is sometimes on films.
o Shells is slang for firearm bullets.
o Oysters are reportedly suppose to be some type of aphrodisiac.
o I remember putting those big shells up to our ears and hearing what we thought was sounds of the ocean.
o Clam Bakes are well-known in the New England area.
o Shells were one of the oldest forms of currency.
o The Black Pearl by John Steinbeck is about a huge pearl that was found that ended up being a curse, we read an abridged version of the story for high school English class.
o Katniss is given a pearl that Peta found in the shell in the film Mockingjay.
o Bivalve mollusks are one of the most popular seafoods in the world.
o A shell company is a near defunct company (Collins Dictionary).
† There is a company called Shell...if it went defunct, would anyone be surprised?
    x For longevity and growth:
o Part of the reason I thought that giants existed in the past was because if Redwood trees could be so tall and live so long, isn't it possible that humans could too?
o It makes sense that being smaller and less visible helps some things live longer and safer.
o I once saw an interview about a woman that dreamed her entire life she was as tall as her father and she actually became 6'8,' it really made me wonder how the power of the mind could do seemingly impossible things like that!
o I have heard stories of people thinking they were going to die before a certain time in their life like 14-years-old and then it actually happens...did they create their own future?
o For people, it is my theory that maintaining an excitement for things lengthens a person's life even if it is lengthened by the amount of experiences (as opposed to standard measures of time).
x In relation to an island (i.e. like Greenland):
o I used to have daymares about creating order on some island for a massive amount of people that were going to move there with me.
o It was like I was living someone's narcissistic fantasy which, according to Dr. Todd Grande, moving to an island as one man surrounded by women is the most popular narcissistic fantasy (it just seemed stressful to me).
o There was some type of rule where spirit guides could incarnate into islanders as adults but they would become conscious like a child in an adult's body and would have no memory of any life before that...they were called Amnesiacs.
o Spirit guides were able to chose their body (before they entered it) though they would forget all of that the second they incarnated.
o I never knew where the bodies for the Amnesiacs came from and in a way it didn't matter...they were created specifically so spirit guides would have a human body for incarnation and would become the pilot spirit.
o The backstory to the island was that it was a man-made island that would potentially be a continent even though it was only about 30-60 miles wide.
o The entire operation seemed particularly busy and scheduled at all times, characteristics far different than what I would want in an island fantasy!
    x In relation to froghopping:
o I remember the Mark Twain story The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, we read that for English class.
o Frogger is the last official Sega Genesis video game.
o In the tv series Seinfeld George was trying to transport the arcade cabinet Frogger across the street and acted in the same maneuvers as the game...he eventually destroyed the cabinet before succeeding.

o There used to be a commercial with three frogs that said Bud Weis Er.
o One of my grandma's neighbors had a dog named Frog Dog, she also had a mini golf course in her backyard called The Funky Monkey.
o Kermit the Frog goes a lot of places in the film The Muppet Movie.
o In the film The Princess and the Frog they also go a lot of places (froghopping?;) )
x In relation to long-jumping frogs:
o How funny would that be if there was a remote-controlled mechanical frog that could jump really far, that would certainly get a rise from anyone that was scared of being touched by a frog!
    x In relation to kangaroos:
o Do they ever store anything in their pouches other than their kids...like keys or a trapper keeper?
o Do they really like to box or is that just a silly stereotype?
o Has anyone thought about using them for a type of mail service called The Kangaroo Express (like the Pony Express)?
o What's up with that film Kangaroo Jack?
o Why isn't the offspring called a Roo instead of a Joey?
o Would a Kangaroo love or hate a trampoline?
o A group of Kangaroos is called a mob but are they sinister like a mob?
o Can Kangaroos do precision jumping like into the squares of a hopscotch arrangement?
x In relation to a mountain lion:
o They are spotted in Nebraska often!
o It is often referred to as a cougar, a name also given to women that pursue significantly younger men.
o Rocky The Mountain Lion is the mascot of the NBA team Denver Nuggets.
o Babies of mountain lions are called kittens or cubs and have spots for their first year of life.
o One would think that would be a great mascot for a hiking/scrambling club!
o Would a mountain living on a hill feel like a fraud?

The most efficient runners, surprisingly, are humans- through sheer endurance and not having to power four limbs on the ground. Even horses pale in comparison to humans, though horses are obviously better at hauling things.

x I used to think that gigantic people, many of which were around ten feet tall or taller, were around until masses of much smaller people killed them out of fear.
o The only basis of think this was that there were myths of giants all over the world and that they would be the most likely to be killed because they ate most of the food and could easily overpower much smaller opponents.
o The male giants would have the advantage for mating as normal-size woman would rather have huge children if they had the choice.
o I saw museums on the internet (which apparently were pranks by users that like to mess with people) that had sections with giant's skeleton's that were 8-10 feet tall).

o For a while I used to think I was gigantic!
† If you're wondering why someone would think such a ridiculous thing, there was some type of optical illusion that made it look like I was cramming myself in areas but the image of me would seem like a normal size to anyone around (actually very similar to the Taylor Swift music video "Anti-Hero" by Taylor Swift)
† Somehow I was able to see a perspective of physically looking down on people that were taller than me.
x Definitely the superpower I would choose, if I had the choice, would be the powers of Superman!
o Out of those powers, definitely superstrength would be my favorite!
o Though any level of superstrength would be awesome, it would be much more of a rush to have unlimited strength and be able to do incredible things like pick up air craft carriers and throw things into the atmosphere!

o Probably the most famous bird to train is the parrot, an animal that is tied to pirate fiction.
o For prehistoric fliers, I think it would have been awesome to train a Pteranodon and fly on them!
o For mythological (?) fliers, it would be so awesome to train a dragon and fly!

    Part 2
    x Speaking of loudest things:
o People often have to use ear protection (like eargasm earplugs) for concerts to protection their ears.
o Some people uncontrollably talk louder without even knowing they do it.
o Dogs tend to be scared of loud fireworks for Fourth of July celebrations.
o Some people move out of cities simply because they are loud.
o Classic alarm clocks (with the two bells) are know to be so loud there is no way to ignore the alarm when it goes off.
o I know some people who has been issued tickets for "Disturbing The Peace" because their parties were loud enough to get the neighbors to complain.
o In my hometown the sirens, which some say have been set because of WW2 practices, still go off at times like noon and six o'clock.
o Chainsaws seem really loud mostly because they are associated with so many horror things (like The Evil Dead films).
o We used to have a rooster and it's crow would wake us up at the same time every morning.
o Crying babies probably aren't that loud but they seem really loud when parents bring them to social events and they don't stop crying!
o For the verbal part of sexual intimacy, males tend to be more aroused and tend to value their female partners being significantly loud for their sounds of pleasure.
o We used to have peacocks near our house in Midvale and they seemed loud (maybe it was because their sounds were so unusual).
o Hardly anything seems louder than a surprise air horn!
x Speaking of the sperm whale...there was an unforgettable article in Rolling Stone Magazine that we used to talk about in college and grad school.
o There was a guy who had a 13.5 inch member (which was reportedly perfectly shaped and not deformed), an irregular feature that no one in his family had anything similar to it.
o He was an awkward guy with poor social skills.
o Though that is something that might be pursued in pornography or nude photos, he had offers but did neither.
o According to him, he had sex with between 1000 - 2000 people of both sexes and the intercourse always sounded detached.
o There were people that were giving crap about his giant member to his mom, a situation that I remember because that is so awkward.
o There was a girl in my graduate school who actually read the same article and for years talk about her experience with a guy that had a 13" member (her biggest fantasy?) and all the crazy dramas of those experiences.
o I think the reason the stories were so memorable was because it was like a drama that was so different from anything I had ever heard, with some parts seeming awesome and other parts really just seeming either depressing, disgusting, or a tragedy.
