There’s Neutral 1 (Reset), Neutral 2 (Alternate dialogue), Neutral 3 (Flowey gets pissed that nothing changed), Neutral 4 (Flowey gets even more pissed), True Pacifist (Spare final boss), Flawed Pacifist (Kill final boss), Genocide ending and this secret ending. That’s 8 right there
kinda sad now that I think about it, toriel (as far as I know anyway) would never know anything that happens to clover after leaving the ruins. or any of the humans that pass through, really.
That's awesome lol. Flowey resets the save file because if you went with Toriel, it's possible that Clover would never have died which isn't supposed to happen in Undertale lore.
SPOILERS Flowey was monologuing about some stuff in the Neutral Route. Basically to dumb it down, Clover would: *A. Constantly Die* or *B. Live with Toriel ignorantly* So Flowey had to temper with the switch to send Clover "off the path of failure".
Also, *GENOCIDE SPOILERS* Clover actually manages to leave the underground alive, which isn't cannon at all, so remember that only TRUE pacifist is canon in UTY

This actually happened to me on my first playthrough. I went to take a shit when clover fell down and when u came back. Lo and behold, toriel had returned.
Oh that's awesome! You should also try to get to the mountain tops without saving, I already uploaded a video of what happens if you don't save up to the major save dialouge in the beginning of wild east but not the mountaintops.
