This is a very simplistic explanation, but hopefully gets the general idea across: It hot forming, the walls of the tubing are mostly being stretched; in cold forming, they are mostly being compressed. In both forming types, the metal is being redistributed in all directions to maintain a uniform wall thickness, just in opposite directions.
WOW the process for making pipe bends is interesting. BUT FOR GOD SAKE THE SAFETY IS APPEALING!. try looking at worker safety procedures from Europe, America or Australia that manufacture pipe. Make a start by supplying hearing protection to those working on machine with greater then 85DB fork lifts, gantry's and lifting aids to prevent back injury and protective footwear for a start and don't stop there In the next video advertise you safety procedures western companies will think better of you and buy more product.
The first manufacturer in India that i have seen have it's workers wearing gloves ,work shoes although I did not see the workers operating the cutting torch machine wearing welding Google's or any body wearing safety glasses . Gloves to handle the hot metal just cut we're an after thought .
This is the type of company that asks potential employees what caste are they from, then assign them jobs based on that. Safety is not number one priority.
That place looks a complete health and safety melt down , I feel sorry for the poor guys that have to work in those shit show conditions , but I suppose they get away with it because it's India not Germany or USA
