If you were a student in the late 90's and missing Eurotrash, this was essential viewing. We used to rush back from nights out to catch So Graham Norton. He's still brilliant, but not really the same since he went to the BBC and couldn't do this sort of thing anymore.
Never really thought about what Graham Norton was doing before the Graham Norton Show. So it was pretty much the same thing but a lot more... Graham, I guess. The Graham Norton Show feels toned down compared to this. Really enjoyed all these videos, keep them coming!
He was on late night in the "So..." days. He then went to primetime on the BBC where he had to tone it down a little but he's still raunchy from time to time.
Miss these days. I was about 8 years old and I’m sure it was Chanel 4 - 9pm Friends, 9.30pm South Park then Graham Norton before bed. How I got away with watching South Park, never mind Graham! I was too young to recognise most of the celebrities but I remember to this day being floored by the Anthony Head/Buffy spoof!
Graham got older, his audience got older. It happens. Graham is now 59, he couldn't keep on with the same Channel 4 style material he did here. So he adapted, toned down his show. 2010 was the big change, when he took over the Friday night slot from Jonathan Ross. From that point, he went into straight simple interviews. And it worked. He is the biggest rated talk show in Britain still, beating Jonathan Ross who limps on at ITV trying to scrape the 1.5 million viewer mark on a Saturday, whereas Graham tops 3.5 million on a Friday.
Graham was one of my first crushes that made me realise I was gay. I loved watching tv on Friday nights to watch him and thought he had the most perfect sideburns and accent. Him and Lee from Steps. If you know, you know….
I used to love So Graham Norton as a kid. He was a lot more x-rated than he is on the BBC. 😂
Well the show was on BBC Two in 2007 to 2009 and it was the same but when the show went to BBC One in 2010 it was toned down a bit
Should of seen his show in the 90's on channel 4 that was very funny and X rated for tv
Especially when he would call random people on the doggy phone ❤️😂 so funny x x
Kid?!
@@claireosborne692 Yes! That was really good! ☎

The Word, The Girlie Show, Carnal Knowledge (also Graham Norton), Eurotrash, So Graham Norton...... Some of the ones I remember from the 90s.
