Even after such an intense surgery Mayra looked so beautiful as always. I hope you’re healing better as its been more than a month that your baby is here! My mom had two c sections and the second one was with my twin sister and I so she knows its a hard recovery but you’re strong and a mom so your instincts will help you heal more. I’m so happy that they let you use formula. When I had my son, my milk wasn’t coming in and I asked multiple times for formula and they just kept telling me know that if I give him a bottle he wouldn’t take the nipple so basically he screamed and cried for three days straight in the hospital hungry because they refused to give me formula. With it being in the middle of Covid and me and my boyfriend, the only ones in the room we didn’t know what to do. It was our first child, so we just went off of what they told us and I wish I was more pushy. So happy for yawls beautiful baby boy.❤

She is 2 now and we still can’t believe we have her. God’s greatest gift to my family was my babygirl just like Noah is to your family🤍

Congratulations! If you are still having trouble with him latching my sister did as well and went to a lactation class and they gave her a nipple shield to help. That worked and she has been able to breastfeed since. I hope this helps!😊 Happy for you guys!
Yesssss they actually work
Pacifiers do not cause nipple confusion girl, they told me the same thing but one of the sweet nurses ran over to NICU to get us one although she’s supposed to advice against it, she told me to do wharever works for us and our baby, you do the same Mayra🩵 & do not feel bad if breastfeeding doesn’t work for you after all, I gave up after 2 months of trying and supplementing with formula. Choosing my mental health first was the best decision I made, remember. Your baby needs a happy mama, sooo so happy for you guys. Praying for you guys always!

My baby didn't latch in the hospital, the lactation nurse gave me a nipple shield but even still she didn't latch. I pumped and luckily produced enough colostrum but we found out later that she was tongue and lip tied. I pumped for a few months until it gave me depression because instead of spending time with my baby I was so obsessed with milk supply and pumping around the clock. I was done and formula fed, my mental health improved immensely. Fed is best, dont beat yourself up Mayra!

Mayra, just a recommendation. Dont remove his pacifier by just pulling it straight out. Porque se le va a hundir su mollera. To take it away kinda of twist to the side para que el mismo lo deje de chupar and pull it out. I strongly believe que se les cae la mollera porque me paso ami con mi first born.
My mom always mentioned sticking your pinky in at the corner of the chupon so the suction isn’t super strong and they kinda lose the latch 👌🏽

ugh this brought memories 😢 when i had my first baby i had a cesarean it was so hard and yes being so dependent too your spouse also is overwhelming i remember crying because it hurt alot and i wasn’t even able too wipe the first day when i was home and my husband would literally wipe me 😢 and he gets disgusted but he didn’t seem like it in the moment after i asked him and he said he usually is he dint like even talking about poop but seeing everything i went thrue and the pain he felt this nurturing over me that he didn’t care 🥲
