No it wasn't they didn't even think about the spot until early into spiderverse 2 writing when they wrote off spot as a joke villain they originally were going to have a madam web and god spider type story.
when i watch it on the theater, i got confused because fisk is peak human level in strength on actual lore, but in this move he looks like gain superhuman strength
@@xd-px5neKingpin isn’t superhuman but he ain’t a normal man by any means. Dude has been able to tango with Spiderman in fights in the comics. Kingpin can break bones with his bare hands.
Bro is built so wide he gets his tailoring done at Lowes. Bro is so enormous he's bordering on non-euclidian. Bro is so huge that his pistol's caliber is measured in meters. Bro is such a unit his fists are meteors.
Honestly i like his design. In some scenes or in the context of memes its silly, like a lot of the scenes where his full body is in frame or seen from different angles its a little awkward but his design in the movie is supposed to be imposing, its why hes in a pitch black suit all the time. So when we get close ups and like, half the fucking screen is just black as night with only his face being the one visible feature it makes it feel very suffocating, as it is intended. Even if bro cant fit through doorways ☠️
Much like being Spider-man generally sucks with so much loss, pain etc. from cartoons, comic books etc. I think Kingpin's existence is not bright as well... Starting with lousy family in the form of jerkish dad, he wanted to surpass him and others who bullied him for his weight to prove himself better. However this led to become a crime lord. Unlike other bad villains however, Fisk also wants to have a loving family. But then he is torn in 2 between this and his life of crime. In this case there are two options: 1) his family knows about Wilson's Kingpin identity. However it makes Vanessa tired of her husband's actions and their son Richard ambitious despite his wealth to overthrow his father to surpass him as the Rose (despite his father's claims that he had no ability, desire yes, bot no ability to rule as the next Kingpin). There is no happiness in such family life, no matter what money they have. 2) his family does not know about his Kingpin identity, which makes them assume he is a gentle giant who enjoys spending time with them, however once they see him in action, they are terrified of the man they thought they knew and felt betrayed, enough to make rash decisions like in this movie And what's the worst, Kingpin is just unable to let go of his life of crime for his family, because he is competent enough to hold it in check from a power vacuum and he adamantly thinks when you try surpass someone or have a goal in general, you keep trying, doing it until winning or die trying, and then holding it tight until you also die. On the other side, he cannot just focus himself on his crime lord business, because he wants a happines coming from a genuine love which work cannot grant and he hardly had in his childhood. Much like Spider-man is torn in 2 between a normal life and being Spider-man, Kingpin has the same between his family and his life of crime. The difference is while Spider-man does not want anyone to share his fate of loss and pain and despite everything he always has someone to comfort him, Kingpin does not care about it, because in general he is that determined (or desperate) to accomplish his goals, no matter what body count and he is ultimately alone in his work, which demands to be vigilant from power hungry minions and rivals.

Right??? He shouldn't be able to compete with Spiderman.
it's a different universe to normal Fisk. Same reason Doc Oc uses tubes and green goblin is a goliath.

Crazy how his just human and not some super human
crazy how it took me forever to realize this
