I always thought it was arrastre. There must be 2 words describing a beautiful unique Argentine tango feature. Thank you for the figures. Using the left foot in the circular motion is easier than using the right foot. Genius!!!!!

Nice simple barridas, I am not confident enough to use more barridas. These first two look like something to begin with...

Leonardo … some things about Tango get misunderstood in translation. Taking the woman to the Cross (Crusada) is different than dancing in Cross System (Shadow position) where each partner is on their left or right foot at the same time.

Dancing in cross system is the leader's part, the cruzada is the follower's part. It's like Giro and Moliente. Giro is the leader's part, molinete is the follower's part. The cruzada won't happen without the leader doing the cross system, although a cruzada can definitely be led without the leader doing the cross system.

      Yes!
1-Cross position (cruzada) can be done by followers or leaders.
2- Cross system, it can be used in many figures, not only on basic step.
      Parallel or Cross system.
      Thanks for the note.

I thought the third step should actually be called "arrastre" and not "barreda".

One step is a push, and one step is a drag
