I’m so proud and inspired by you. So many times things look differently than how we originally thought they would be. The growth comes when we acknowledge the difference, embrace it, and step into it. I can feel the freedom from the burden you were carrying from before. You are always learning, always growing, and always giving back. So proud of you, friend.

I propagate my creeping thyme by replanting portions with some roots attached into pots of soil. It propagates really easy. I started them from seed several years ago. Good luck with your experiment. A creeping thyme path sounds beautiful

Thank you for sharing and happy to see you find your happy place again. I'm at a stage in my life also thinking of taking a step back from the pressures of my 9 to 5 and seeing you find success and peace, makes me stronger and more optimistic of doing the same. Yes, I love the experiments and updates of your progress. So, please keep that up! Sending you love and gratitude.

First off Jordan, I am pleased you are in a better place mentally and financially, and you certainly seem 'bright and bushy tailed' (English expression). I also see you have picked up another 2,000 subscribers. Growing a channel takes time. Garlic: I noticed the spacing, 8" apart in STRAIGHT Rows. I have educated three of my Community Garden lady friends to plant in 'Jordan's blocks of 5', 8" apart in 8" rows and drop another clove in the middle of the block of 4. You also put leaves on top instead of straw. My first garlic year I planted 18 plants, last year 28 plants, this year 43 plants. I am very confident with garlic following your tuition. SEEDS: I had no knowledge of fermenting seeds, I put the seeds on a plate and pick them up with the tip of a paring knife and lay them on paper towel in rows of 10. I did try washing some in a sieve this year to remove the coating as an experiment. I look forward to following the experiments in the Spring. Have a wonderful off season.

Glad to hear you're making choices to help your mental health. I love the experiments. One weird thing I want to point out is when I Chromecast your videos to my TV, they always seem to lag/skip when you show text and graphs on your experiments 😟 My techie husband says it's probably something to do with the different bit rates between video and the imagery. Just thought you should know in case there's a way for you to optimize this or change the way you go about sharing experiment results to make the videos better for all of us casting the videos. Keep up the great content. I love getting to hear the personal side too. We're all human, and sharing your life builds trust with the audience which makes you more credible when talking all things gardening too!

Cash flow matters, says the retired CPA. Love the experiments. I was able to take 2 years of biology in high school and loved it. Empirical science rocks!

    Love experimenting!
Great video, I'm stealing your idea for the flat stone path and creeping thyme, that's top tier, yoink!
Garlic experiments: bigger cloves = bigger bulbs? Or depth planted affects final size?

A different topic, what's your opinion on soaking garlic bulbs in fish emulsion and baking soda? Followed by H2O2 rinse.

Is your experiment store store-bought garlic vs garlic propagated for planting? Both appear to be soft-neck variety which in my area 4a/5a depending on which map you use doesn’t grow very successfully.

Oh come on - that's no step backwards. Life is not a steady state or straight line operation. Go with what works for you, if my word holds sway. ;)
