Hi Fabio, have you tested the new 24.3 driver branch in UWP (currently we are on branch 24.2 on the official drivers)? this new 24.3 branch seems to be the one planned for the release of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, it includes a new version of the AFMF (v2.1) which corrects a lot of visual defects due to movements, as well as a much more recent version of the Vulkan driver and the overall performance will be better. If you want you can test them (you have to completely remove the official drivers it is preferable) by downloading them from the "Station-drivers" site, there is the line "Amd Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Version 24.30" on 01/24/2025 and these are therefore the v24.30.18 drivers which are available for download
@@Johnny-fv5wn Well, Nvidia drivers has more issues unlike AMD drivers. Check out their forums and comments and you will notice that some issues have been there for a long time but Nvidia removed it from known issues. Also, you should only update drivers if you need to.

I made this replacement for a wider field of view at a longer usable viewing distance, while reducing the pressure on the graphics card. In other words, if you're using a monitor at short distances, very sensitive to PPI, or having a beast graphics card, a 32“ 4k (even a 27” 4k) monitor would be a better fit for you.

@@Ku6epIIe4eHe7 I spent days getting some profiles together and for the most part your settings are about the best I can expect with my Sapphire. The issue I have is the fact the card hits 90-92c on the hotspot and in the 80’s on memory when overclocked. I generally run it stock with a slight undervolt if anything. Either way the cards a beast!

@@kelcelgamingT30 AFMF2 does work on my 6900 XT. But I'd prefer Lossless Scaling since it's does give you better frametimes and visuals. Theres also a Mod wich implements FSR 3.1 in rebirth.
@@kelcelgamingT30 Mine says active, but there's no visual difference in 24.12.1 with any game. The only noticeable difference is when below 60, but above that it doesnt change anything, though it says it's active... I'll try to roll back. I have a 240hz monitor and with Lossless scaling i can tell when it's working.
AMD must fixing they driver for Delta Force. Players with new drivers got problems with stuttering all the time. People have to move to 24.8.1 to solve the problem.

I'm on the 25.1.1 drivers and they seem alright for my 7800 XT. There was some kind of Windows 11 update to the AMD graphics drivers this month that kind of broke things but the new drivers seem to fix that issue. Thumbs up!

true. Delta Force is the only game i play intensively nowadays, and 24.8.1 is the only driver that can run Delta Force smoothly. Downgraded from 24.12.1 to 24.8.1

RX 5700xt reporting in. No issues so far with the 25.1.1 on win10 with latetest updates. Since I just play my old FP shooters I don't know what is up with Warhammer or Spiderman. If I stream for my buddies I use OBS with my Intel IGP (9900k) that does FHD h264 @60Hz with way better quality than the 5700 could do (because - at least these old AMD card video codecs suck balls hard). I installed with running AMD cleanup utility in safemode before that, cleaned shader cache and re-imported my old settings, all worked fine, games run as good as before. I am waiting for March to upgrade the GFX card, maybe Nvidia maybe Amd whatever fits my needs and my pocket. EDIT: I like the Zoo going on behind you, a rolling cat on the floor, chickens and a dog. I am wondering why the cat is not riding on one of those chickens, I guess the cat is too well fed ;)

@@AncientGameplays Did i get Mandela-effect-ed in another universe or what? Let me explain. -They used to add optional drivers in the main driver page along with WHQL ones. -You could also get them through adrenaline by checking for Recommended+Optional. This is what everyone saying "i can't see them" mean. I am aware i can just google the driver and grab it. It's just weird that it's not on the main page like EVERY single optional driver i've ever downloaded.
The game looks much better than Spider-Man remastered, the lighting is far superior, more shadow casting light sources, much more dense foliage, not to mention the gameplay is also far superior, as for the story that’s just subjective.

My 6750xt is having zero issues with FF7 rebirth. I'm playing it on high settings @2560x1440p native. No texture pop in, no stuttering, or crashes. Still using the 24.12.1 drivers. Plays and looks just like remake did, didn't have issues with that game either.
Great video. Was hoping these drivers would bring support for AC Evo, but I guess that released too late for AMD to do anything with it in this version. Hopefully the 25.2.1 drivers will have it.
As always thanks for the update of what the driver changes mean, and belatedly for previously pointing the way to Hardcore Overclocking which was great for tuning my ddr 6000. Appreciate the non US channel, not that I have anything against them, just good to have a more European view especially on prices and availability which can often be quite a bit different.
Hi, i'm stuck on 24.8.1 because all the newer drivers are buggy with the games configurations. For example if for a game i set up in radeon software to bump up the saturation whenever the game starts it happens that the colors won't change at all or the colors change but don't revert to normal when closing the game etc. Another related bug i found was with Valorant. Radeon software detects the game as "spotify" and not "Valorant" so if i have both things open and i close valorant, the profile i made for the game will stick also to spotify. Did you experience these problems? If yes does 25.1.1 fix them?
I very much enjoyed this video because I have a 6900XT and you included the 6800 in your game play. I play FPS mostly The Division 2. It still has a large following, Maybe you can include it in your game play video reviews?
I still using 24.8.1, update for 24.12.1 making Delta Force unplayable, so have to wait if AMD or the game devs make some magic... Anyway thanks for another great video Ancient... And make some Galinha à cabidela!😁
Runs fine so far in Games insurgency sandstorm ran well. Doom 2016 also good after some oddness switching over to vulkan but got it up and running after a couple restarts
Adenalin 25.1.1 fixed Delta Force stuttering for me. Just ensure to have instant replay options and smart access memory disabled in the Adrenaline control panel
If only they could find a way to fix the artifacts that sometimes appear with afmf2, my personal opinion is that is is pretty good enough for single player games.
25.1.1 has been great for FFVII Rebirth. 6700 XT and 7800 XT I have tested both and noticed much better 1% lows and higher averages @1440p. Some visual improvements with TAAU as well.
Can you make a video on lossless scaling with the dual gpu set up and explains its advantages. Also if you do it, you can also test it with a gaming laptop and use the igpu and the dedicated gpu
Small comment for people considering buying windows keys: Buy the windows 10 stuff it works for windows 11 aswell (= cheaper). For the rest nice content as always Ancientgameplays :)
Hey Fabio ! Hope you`re doing well. The chicken noise doesn`t bother me, more so is very calming. You can do outside videos with nature sound in the background. You made a wile back a comparation with ryzen cpus (ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 5 5600) with 6000 series gpus, I don`t know if is in your pipline or not but it will be cool you made a video with old-new GPU/CPU, not high end, comparing the performance in newer games. I thought the chickens were part of the music for a while lol Btw I had left a comment a while ago with lossless scaling about it not working. Turned out that if you have instant replay on when you turn on lossless scaling it lossless scales the instant replay feature.
Deltaforce still has massive FPS drops and microstutter with the 25.1.1 Only the 24.8.1 doesn't seem to be affected. With 24.12.1 or 25.1.1 you still have to disable SAM and force the game to DX11 via start parameters in Steam to reduce it. its not solved complete with this workaround. It has been a problem for many players since the release of the game and it has been reported countless times via bug report. Unfortunately, nothing has been done about it for 8 weeks.
@@AncientGameplays it depends on drivers. The problem does not exist on 24.8.1 and older. I have an RX 6600 and also have this problem. The only solution is to disable SAM and play on DX 11 but that degrades performance.
I have a 7800 xt and a 5900x. Not even 24.8.1 has fixed the fps drops for me. SAM is off. everything is OFF. (-dx11 in steam game launch did help a bit) But the game still stutters and I get terrible fps drops when looking at or entering certain areas.
Hello Fabio, I installed this 25.1.1 driver for my ASRock RX7900XTX PHANTOM GAMING 24 GB and let me tell you, it's awesome. Space Marins 2, as before, had from 67 to almost 80 FPS in 4k, now it gives almost constant 173 to 180 FPS in 4k, The graphics have improved a lot in detail and don't look good anymore like AmD only RTX 4090, maybe I'm exaggerating 🤨😅
and this driver has the dll for FSR 4 but not implemented, technically with this dll you can upgrade from FSR 3.1 So, with good expectations to march drivers

Consigo rodar bem jogos mais bonitos mas esse continuo a ter freezes e quedas de fps... tenho o windows 11 pro atualizado e fresquinho (formatado há pouco). Pelos vistos só se resolve instalando velhos drivers mas é uma beca chato por causa dos outros jogos que jogo de voltar aos velhos drivers de agosto ^^
@@hikawa09 Tenho um build um pouco acima do teu (5900 e 7800xt 16gb) e mesmo assim tenho o mesmo problema. Ha pessoas com piores GPUs , mas melhor CPU, a correr sem fps drops. Eu ja experimentei quase tudo e nao encontrei solução. Mas com o meu build apesar de nao ser top tier, devia correr o jogo sem problemas. E o teu tambem.

*edit* just to edit for anyone else reading, it didn't fix my crashing in the end and overall the game felt more stuttery as well. Rolling back the drivers. Installed this last night as I was having constant crashes with final fantasy 7 rebirth. Didn't get to play too much longer after but I didn't have any crashes in over an hour. Gonna test more over a longer period tonight but so far so good.
My experience is completely opposite....i had not a single issue with 24.5.1, however the moment i installed this new driver version(25.1.1) i got a crash in the game so I went back to 24.5.1.....(I'm running it on a rx6900xt btw)
@@imandalvand1227hmmmmm interesting. I'm running a 7900gre but like I said I'm not sure an hour is really enough to to gauge it. I'll let you know if my experience changes though. Definitely had instances of the game crashing from changing settings like frame gen etc.
So no actual driver this month? This is frustrating since I'm having so many problems with the last two drivers. It's frustrating that they don't even consider their driver crashing and timing out on Darktide a "known issue". I know I'm not the only guy that has this issue and that's sending reports regularly.
I'm debating going back to NVidia due to lack of driver support. Kingdom come deliverance 2 isn't going to have drivers on launch day. Still no Path of Exile 2 drivers. Delta force drivers didn't fix the games frame rate drop issue. I'm playing God of War Ragnarok off my backstock of steam games now since the new drivers cant play the newest games properly

you're losing performance in most recent games, sometimes a lot. If recent drivers aren't stable for you, you're either using OC settings that need a recheck, or you have other issues there

They are much better than you will expect , I used both cards mostly nvidia but now on 7900xtx , wife has 7800xt there are few crashes same crashes I had when I was on 3080ti and 2070 super , AMD software is way better than nvidia control panel ,

A lot of people (including me) seem to still have issues with frame drops in delta force. Every newer driver after 24.8. has that problem. I have a 7900XT and 7800X3D system so idk why all the newer drivers seem to be struggling in that game. I hope AMD is working on that.
Hey Fabio is a used rtx 3080 (425€) a good deal or the 7800XT is more interesting? and what do you think of The Sapphire Pulse 7800XT with only 2 fans?
nop, bad deal at that price. The 3080 is quite slower than the 4070 Super that is generally on par with the 7800XT. Also, the 3080 has only 10GB VRAM or something, big NOPE
Just an FYI as it is not mentioned in the patch notes but me and others have noticed this. FF7 Rebirth on the current drivers looks horrible in the open world, textures are extremely blurred. Since installing the beta drivers described in this video, the textures in the open world look much better.
Coming from 1660 super to RX 6750 XT AMD drivers has far less problems than Nvidia and more stable that's why they don't need to release 2 Drivers every month
There are no 2025 drivers yet in adrenaline. You have to search for this like a preview it wont show up even with optional selected in adrenaline. May want to mention that....important detail lol

@thunderarch5951 i use mine for a few more things than gaming (unreal engine 5 for example) 24.12.1 caused issues for that. Gaming was fine though.

Delta Force was having bad FPS drops on 24.12.1, on both my 6800XT and 6700XT. Both cards run Delta Force fantastically well on 24.8.1.

RX 5700xt reporting in. No issues so far with the 25.1.1 on win10 with latetest updates. Since I just play my old FP shooters I don't know what is up with Warhammer or Spiderman. If I stream for my buddies I use OBS with my Intel IGP (9900k) that does FHD h264 @60Hz with way better quality than the 5700 could do (because - at least these old AMD card video codecs suck balls hard). I installed with running AMD cleanup utility in safemode before that, cleaned shader cache and re-imported my old settings, all worked fine, games run as good as before. I am waiting for March to upgrade the GFX card, maybe Nvidia maybe Amd whatever fits my needs and my pocket.
EDIT: I like the Zoo going on behind you, a rolling cat on the floor, chickens and a dog. I am wondering why the cat is not riding on one of those chickens, I guess the cat is too well fed ;)

Let me explain.
-They used to add optional drivers in the main driver page along with WHQL ones.
-You could also get them through adrenaline by checking for Recommended+Optional.
This is what everyone saying "i can't see them" mean.
I am aware i can just google the driver and grab it. It's just weird that it's not on the main page like EVERY single optional driver i've ever downloaded.
I think it may have been pulled, no longer available as optional or registered for Win 10 - 11
Surprised Spider-Man 2 came to PC this fast. That said, it's unfortunate that the game looks like it could have just been Spider-Man Remastered DLC.
The game looks much better than Spider-Man remastered, the lighting is far superior, more shadow casting light sources, much more dense foliage, not to mention the gameplay is also far superior, as for the story that’s just subjective.
I hope they add mesh shader support for OpenGL next driver. It’s supposed to be included in one of the next drivers.

My 6750xt is having zero issues with FF7 rebirth. I'm playing it on high settings @2560x1440p native. No texture pop in, no stuttering, or crashes. Still using the 24.12.1 drivers. Plays and looks just like remake did, didn't have issues with that game either.

Great video. Was hoping these drivers would bring support for AC Evo, but I guess that released too late for AMD to do anything with it in this version. Hopefully the 25.2.1 drivers will have it.

Appreciate the non US channel, not that I have anything against them, just good to have a more European view especially on prices and availability which can often be quite a bit different.
Hi, i'm stuck on 24.8.1 because all the newer drivers are buggy with the games configurations. For example if for a game i set up in radeon software to bump up the saturation whenever the game starts it happens that the colors won't change at all or the colors change but don't revert to normal when closing the game etc. Another related bug i found was with Valorant. Radeon software detects the game as "spotify" and not "Valorant" so if i have both things open and i close valorant, the profile i made for the game will stick also to spotify. Did you experience these problems? If yes does 25.1.1 fix them?

24.8.1 was last pretty good AMD drivers for last months especially for delta force almost every other makes game stuttery

Runs fine so far in Games insurgency sandstorm ran well. Doom 2016 also good after some oddness switching over to vulkan but got it up and running after a couple restarts

Adenalin 25.1.1 fixed Delta Force stuttering for me. Just ensure to have instant replay options and smart access memory disabled in the Adrenaline control panel

If only they could find a way to fix the artifacts that sometimes appear with afmf2, my personal opinion is that is is pretty good enough for single player games.
25.1.1 has been great for FFVII Rebirth. 6700 XT and 7800 XT I have tested both and noticed much better 1% lows and higher averages @1440p. Some visual improvements with TAAU as well.
Can you make a video on lossless scaling with the dual gpu set up and explains its advantages. Also if you do it, you can also test it with a gaming laptop and use the igpu and the dedicated gpu

You made a wile back a comparation with ryzen cpus (ryzen 5 3600 and Ryzen 5 5600) with 6000 series gpus, I don`t know if is in your pipline or not but it will be cool you made a video with old-new GPU/CPU, not high end, comparing the performance in newer games.

Btw I had left a comment a while ago with lossless scaling about it not working. Turned out that if you have instant replay on when you turn on lossless scaling it lossless scales the instant replay feature.
All I want is my CPU temp monitor back in the Adrenaline monitor.

Deltaforce still has massive FPS drops and microstutter with the 25.1.1 Only the 24.8.1 doesn't seem to be affected. With 24.12.1 or 25.1.1 you still have to disable SAM and force the game to DX11 via start parameters in Steam to reduce it. its not solved complete with this workaround. It has been a problem for many players since the release of the game and it has been reported countless times via bug report. Unfortunately, nothing has been done about it for 8 weeks.
That makes zero sense. Played the game before without issues. What gpu exactly?

@@AncientGameplays it depends on drivers. The problem does not exist on 24.8.1 and older. I have an RX 6600 and also have this problem. The only solution is to disable SAM and play on DX 11 but that degrades performance.
I have a 7800 xt and a 5900x. Not even 24.8.1 has fixed the fps drops for me. SAM is off. everything is OFF. (-dx11 in steam game launch did help a bit) But the game still stutters and I get terrible fps drops when looking at or entering certain areas.

Hello Fabio, I installed this 25.1.1 driver for my ASRock RX7900XTX PHANTOM GAMING 24 GB and let me tell you, it's awesome. Space Marins 2, as before, had from 67 to almost 80 FPS in 4k, now it gives almost constant 173 to 180 FPS in 4k, The graphics have improved a lot in detail and don't look good anymore like AmD only RTX 4090, maybe I'm exaggerating 🤨😅
and this driver has the dll for FSR 4 but not implemented, technically with this dll you can upgrade from FSR 3.1
So, with good expectations to march drivers
Yes, that's why AMD showed the FSR4 upgrade feature. All FSR 3.1 games will be upgradable to FSR4, hence why TLOU upgraded to FSR 3

Consigo rodar bem jogos mais bonitos mas esse continuo a ter freezes e quedas de fps... tenho o windows 11 pro atualizado e fresquinho (formatado há pouco). Pelos vistos só se resolve instalando velhos drivers mas é uma beca chato por causa dos outros jogos que jogo de voltar aos velhos drivers de agosto ^^
@@hikawa09 Tenho um build um pouco acima do teu (5900 e 7800xt 16gb) e mesmo assim tenho o mesmo problema. Ha pessoas com piores GPUs , mas melhor CPU, a correr sem fps drops. Eu ja experimentei quase tudo e nao encontrei solução. Mas com o meu build apesar de nao ser top tier, devia correr o jogo sem problemas. E o teu tambem.

Eu entendo que não tenho o PC o mais potente mas rodo o warzone/BO6 sempre acima dos 150fps e esse jogo funcionava bem durante a beta o que mais me chateia. tenho de experimentar na minha partição de windows 10 ver se nao vem de ai. no windows 11 tenho notado percas de performance et bugs aléatorios por iso pode ser uma pita a explorar para alem da quiestao de drivers da AMD que nao tem melhorias para esse jogo.
*edit* just to edit for anyone else reading, it didn't fix my crashing in the end and overall the game felt more stuttery as well. Rolling back the drivers.
Installed this last night as I was having constant crashes with final fantasy 7 rebirth. Didn't get to play too much longer after but I didn't have any crashes in over an hour. Gonna test more over a longer period tonight but so far so good.

My experience is completely opposite....i had not a single issue with 24.5.1, however the moment i installed this new driver version(25.1.1) i got a crash in the game so I went back to 24.5.1.....(I'm running it on a rx6900xt btw)
@@imandalvand1227hmmmmm interesting. I'm running a 7900gre but like I said I'm not sure an hour is really enough to to gauge it. I'll let you know if my experience changes though. Definitely had instances of the game crashing from changing settings like frame gen etc.
So no actual driver this month? This is frustrating since I'm having so many problems with the last two drivers. It's frustrating that they don't even consider their driver crashing and timing out on Darktide a "known issue". I know I'm not the only guy that has this issue and that's sending reports regularly.

I'm debating going back to NVidia due to lack of driver support. Kingdom come deliverance 2 isn't going to have drivers on launch day. Still no Path of Exile 2 drivers. Delta force drivers didn't fix the games frame rate drop issue. I'm playing God of War Ragnarok off my backstock of steam games now since the new drivers cant play the newest games properly

I played the game till the end of act 3 (what we have so far) and I had no issues... you just need a good CPU there

you're losing performance in most recent games, sometimes a lot. If recent drivers aren't stable for you, you're either using OC settings that need a recheck, or you have other issues there

They are much better than you will expect , I used both cards mostly nvidia but now on 7900xtx , wife has 7800xt there are few crashes same crashes I had when I was on 3080ti and 2070 super , AMD software is way better than nvidia control panel ,
I've experienced some fpd drops with the new optional driver 25.1.1. with my rx6750xt. Went back to driver 24 and performance is back to normal.
At 7:27 what is the monitoring tool you're using to see your fps temps and utilization? I've been having issues with MSI Afterburner...

Go with 5700x3d... best you can do on this platform. The uplift would be even up to 25%.

A lot of people (including me) seem to still have issues with frame drops in delta force. Every newer driver after 24.8. has that problem. I have a 7900XT and 7800X3D system so idk why all the newer drivers seem to be struggling in that game. I hope AMD is working on that.

RX 7700 XT and Ryzen 7 5800X here. I’m also having problems with the game dropping frames every minute. It’s annoying as hell. They better fix this.

Hey Fabio is a used rtx 3080 (425€) a good deal or the 7800XT is more interesting? and what do you think of The Sapphire Pulse 7800XT with only 2 fans?

nop, bad deal at that price. The 3080 is quite slower than the 4070 Super that is generally on par with the 7800XT. Also, the 3080 has only 10GB VRAM or something, big NOPE
Just an FYI as it is not mentioned in the patch notes but me and others have noticed this.
FF7 Rebirth on the current drivers looks horrible in the open world, textures are extremely blurred.
Since installing the beta drivers described in this video, the textures in the open world look much better.
Coming from 1660 super to RX 6750 XT AMD drivers has far less problems than Nvidia and more stable that's why they don't need to release 2 Drivers every month
There are no 2025 drivers yet in adrenaline. You have to search for this like a preview it wont show up even with optional selected in adrenaline. May want to mention that....important detail lol
