This might be a bit late to comment, but about the discrepancy of step counts, check your band's settings and adjust the sensitivity of it ^^ I think it comes by default on low sensitivty so you really have to make your arm a lot to make it count. I have it on mid lvl and its very accurate hehe.
Nice video. Quick question on the step counting feature, have you ever noticed it counting steps if you merely swung your watch bearing arm? Does it count steps while driving (arm motion controlling the steering). Two issues I've noticed with other smartwatches that are priced much much higher and from way higher tiers in terms of features.
I tried - swing arm movement / driving did not count as step but if you activated 'auto detect workout (freestyle)' it will count as a workout and start timing the movement. Been using Samsung Fit 2 band since Dec 2022 til today. The band receives latest software update last March. I hope this helps.
The Fit2 is amazing! The Fit2 battery life last all week and the features give you all that you need. I have both the Watch4 and Fit2. Both are great! Watch4 is just fancy and will have multiple charger fits per week. I also had the Apple Watch Series 7. I prefer Samsung watches and Google Android.

I just ordered this. Like you, I have other Samsung watches, 3 actually, but the poor battery life sucks because during rides, or hikes, or paddling it will die while tracking. Which somethings I NEED tracked for an event. A friend convinced me to get a Garmin. So I used points and got a Venu Sq for free and I dislike it so much. It's not intuitive, screen isn't as bright, and 3 hours into a paddle it was dying on me anyway. Which was 1 hour longer than a Samsung active. I'm really hoping with the increased battery I find the happy middle. I backwoods camp, and I'd love a smart watch that lasts the 7 to 10 days I'm in the woods. I love having a heart rate monitor, it's really important to me when doing activities due to health issues. It doesn't seem to have GPS but im curious if my phone will then pick that up and transfer the data to my Samsung health app. Need it for proof of trails completed. At $69.99 cdn it's worth trying in my opinion.

It will synchronize GPS with my phone, so compromising there, but I have realistic expectations :D Honestly, I just need to track my HR, time, and distance.
Can you compare the fit2 with the fit3, this would be super interesting. I've got the fit2, and whilst it's good, it's super outdated for the current time. And since the ring is 10x more expensive than what it's worth, maybe the fit3 would be an adequate replacement nowadays. Also partially because I think the watch active 2 I stole from my sister's battery died yesterday (possibly, it's not charging anymore)

I loved my galaxy fit until it popped off my wrist and fell in a public toilet so i left it in there, the band isn't that secure so i won't be buying another one unless they put a more secure band on it.
Nice video, does the fit 2 track your burned calories active and when you are in rest? Sleeping, sitting? I used Xiaomi Mi watch now, track only burned calories for activities, not in rest.

Samsung gear SHIT, probably won't be supported in the next generation of phones as the Original no longer works with new Samsung smart phones, why? Because Samsung is about profit not customer. Their attitude is arrogant and dismissive of making new phones backwards compatible, which in my opinion shows contempt for the buying customer. Don't buy any Samsung accessories when there are cheaper and better supported generic products out there!
thats really hard.....coz i have a family member who is forever skinny.... i think the only way to get fatter is to exercise and eat a lot (if stomach can take it).. all the best 🍀

Really helpful review especially hot it sits on the wrist, and all the regular life reasons you chose it. Upbeat style of presenting too, nicely done.

as long as it is bluetooth connected to the phone, gps data should record. but the step counts are horrible..🤣

it tracks HR during exercise. i still have samsung one (i love samsung phone) but only use it when i exercise. i dont like wearing accessories much 🤣
