Day 5 with push. This is a two part video. Its mainly for those that want to see push in action and or those who like to see the process of making a beat.
You can put the markers wherever you want, just zoom into the sample and double click where you want it. If you move it after you place it, it will stretch the sample.
Nice video. Question, is there any way to adjust the warp markers position without stretching the sample? I'm starting to get into Ableton from Fl Studio and Fl's "Slicex" sampler lets you move the marker to a more precise position, does Ableton let you do that too?
Mike Black : question how did you set the Push to play the full cut when you hit the pad? i would love to know how to do that , just like an M.P.C. , so you could switch back and forth from releasing a sample and it stops, to hitting a pad to let the full cut play out THANKS MAN GREAT WORK HERE!!!
Plug a cable into the headphone jack of my computer and the other end into the line in of my interface (1/8 to dual 1/4 cable) Go to preferences in live and set audio in to from my interface. Create an audio track, arm it to record.
Just ordered push and looks like I'm gonna return before even opening the box. Using the mouse and chopping in ableton kind of defies the whole purpose of what I thought this machine could do. If I'm chopping and sampling all in ableton I might as well just record with my midi keyboard. It's so disappointing that you cannot sample and chop all within push. So what if I have 18 bars or a 32 bar and I want all the kicks , hats etc. I need to do all this rather then just drag sample into pad one. Edit start and end. Copy to pad two. Edit and so forth I'm so so let down
Found your channel as I was doing some research on the Ableton Push. You got some Dope beats! Much Respect!
Very Creative tutorial Mike! Keep it coming!
