I had no idea about RSSI on the xm+ and a few other things, so thanks for what you do! in the betaflight thread, Boris and the other guys that work on it stated that they made a bunch of optimizations to the PID loop and other things, and Boris stated that 50% is even stable now with the updated firmware with no negatives. now with 3.1.5 I get 26% cpu with osd and blackbox on, with 8k/8k on my F3 board! it's pretty sweet! only problem is there is a bug with 3.1 5 where the max aux channels is limited to 6, so RSSI via channel 16 on xm+ isn't possible until it's fixed. thanks again for all the videos!
hello, nice video. I dont understand if dshot is linked to "pid loop frequency" like oneshot (and we know pid loop frequency is linked to gyro frequency and type of FC ,F1 F3 F4). For example, if you use oneshot125 your pid loop frequency must be 2khz. Or if you use oneshot42 your pid loop frequency must be 4khz, and so on for multishot. Dshot 150\300\600 are linked to a specyfic loop time? Which one is suggested for kind of dshot speed?
I noticed now Betaflight determines how much PID loop I can run. Also depends on esc type. I use to be able to run 8k 4K on my Xracer. Now it will only let me use 8k and 2k using multishot.
Hey thanks for doing so many vids on interesting subjects. I have a troubleshooting problem if you have time, this will be a bit long because I'm trying to give as much info as possible. I just built on a QAV-R frame a Lux V2 FC/DYS 30A Dshot V2 running DS600/T-motor F 40 II 2305 2600kv/RK 5040s/Matek HUBOSD with 10/5v BECs/TBS Unify Race connected on 10V to PDB, Foxeer Arrow conneted to 2nd 10V to PDB/Tattu 75C 1300s.....I flew Maiden LOS and it flew great, threw a lil tune on it and flew 2 or 3 packs. Then I flew Fpv on a fresh pack and after a slow takeoff I punched the throttle for a split second and my view went static..then the camera which I assume lost power came back on and flashed Foxeer just as it does when I first power up. This kept happening and I was barely getting on the throttle. While I had no video I did have full control over the quad and managed to save it twice before crashing as the camera power on and off. I assume it was happening when I flew LOS I just didn't notice. Any ideas as to what my problem is?
i know this is a cleanflight question but what happened to the tab where you change the sbus and rx serial tabs? i got a beecore fc for my tiny whoop and i cant find those tabs. do i need to update cleanflight? thanks
Hi JC, Your videos are incredibly helpful for a noob like me. I have an Omnibus F4SD but I'm having trouble getting inav (or BetaFlight) to recognise my ext compass. I've connected it up to the pins (shared with Uart 3) using the F3 pin out map as I can't find a map for the F4 but now the mag icon flicks from blue to red in a rhythmic pattern. Any ideas? Thanks
dude...how do you know all this...everything I need to know you have it covered, for some reason my CPU goes 100 unless it's 4k by 4k if I didn't watch this I wouldn't even know what that means. Thanks again. I'll look for your new recommendations for my next build, I think I went a little weak on everything for the first, I suppose that's not bad though.
I've been using it for months. What I meant was I was they would finalize everything so I can do some videos on it. Dont want to make videos now just for the GUI and everything else to change again once it is finished.
If you're talking about the EZ GUI app then yea, you can use a USB cable. You dont have to use bluetooth with that app. Also to change PIDs and rates you can use a flight controller with built in OSD, and change your pids through the OSD. Another option is to use a OSD with MW OSD firmware, you can change PIDs through its OSD as well.
Hi Took your advise with the Revo fc i have ,tried to flash it with Betafligh and as it flashed it hung and never said compleated,now the green light is on the fc and it's not getting reconised by my comp Even the stm bootloader is not in zadig.Any ideas

borribB's bft- 3.1x+ comments say that you can now run f3 boards at a higher loop rate safely , and without hindrance to flight. its in his update notes in the wiki
Can you help me? In the port tab I accidentally enable UART2 and disable UART1 and hit save. Now I'm locked out my flight controller. How can I undo this?

JC, I have Omibus F4 board and esc's BB2's Dshot ready... does omnibus works with dshot??

I'm honestly not sure. Haven't used Cleanflight since Betaflight came around. You could change firmware to Betaflight.

I'm not sure if its the same pins on the F4. I've only used the F4 pro. But I do have a F4 on the way so maybe I can help when it gets here.

You can go and install raceflight one alpha right now. I did it last night and it is very simple, just follow the directions.
