MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: How do you have internet at your cabins? A: I have cell service at both cabins but it is spotty due to foliage and cloud cover. I can access the internet from my cabins but have to drive to a local wifi location to upload videos.
Q: How old is Frankie? A: Frankie will be 10 in April of 2018
Q: What video editing software do I use? A: Presently, all I use is Windows Live Movie maker but I’m considering trying imovie, Adobe Elements or SONY VEGAS PRO.
Q: How do you get your water? Did you dig a well? A: Presently, I haul water to the NY cabin but at the NH cabin, I drop a kettle into an old well that was dug by hand by the settlers in the 1700’s.
Q:What is your favorite brand of cast iron cookware? A: I prefer using vintage cast iron. My favorites are BSR and Griswold. If I had to buy new I would buy a Lodge Brand. I plan to purchase this dutch oven in the future:
Q: What do you use for refrigeration? A: We have a small gas refrigerator that we salvaged from an old Shasta camper and a custom icebox that I built into the cabin wall. We make ice on site with a propane freezer.

Q: What do you use for cooking and heating? A: We use a Kitchen Queen 380 for cooking and heating during the winter months but we also have an antique gas stove in the cabin for when we don't need the heat from the KQ.

Never gets old watching this cabin project. After all it has the little lady hooked and now we are looking for some property in the mountains to say farewell to the big city
Take this the right way--- ABOUT TIME!!! I have been back here on a daily basis since I found the site about 2 months ago waiting for a new video... You are a real craftsman and I appreciate you sharing the tribal knowledge with us! More videos PLEASE!!!
I really enjoy your craftsmanship, its always a pleasure to watch someone take such pride in their work.
This has to be one of the best rustic cabins I have ever seen. All I can say is OMG! Awesome job!
I am totally hooked on your videos! I watch you before bed and the videos relax me. I feel I am learning so much on what I would need to know to live off grid or in a survival situation. Love what you do and the puppy too!
Glad you enjoy them Alexi and thank you for saying so.
Please share my channel with others who may enjoy it also :-))
I wish I had an ounce of your talent, knowledge, energy, creativity, and workmanship. You never fail to blow me away with each video. I hope you find all your traps full this season, have good health, and true happiness. God Bless.
Hi Boss, wow love the blue in the boards for the bathroom too. The vanity and medicine cabinet are going to be sooo nice if they are anything like what you did in your kitchen. This is the first I've seen the round logs, really beautiful and I can imagine it did give ya a run for your money working around them. lol Best of luck in trapping season and take care!
I love how you are finishing the cabin. great craftmanship!
You've got some skills there!! You're a awe-inspiring builder, a good dog daddy, a practical philosopher and I'm so happy I've found your vids! I'm like you, I'd rather do it myself and make sure it's done right. Takes more time but less aggravation. Frankie and you seem well-suited to each other. There's always gonna be something to do so I'm pleased you take time to soak in the wonders around you...and have a good breakfast! I'm watching and learning. Thanks!
Amazing cabin and life, I know you work hard at what you have, and it just shows that working hard "does pay off"...Best of luck in your upcoming trapping season...
I honestly don't know what I'd do without it.
What an awesome cabin you put together there. As I am a licensed Jouneyman Carpenter, I can see that you really know what you are doing.
You are a man of many talents and I totally enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the great work. By the way, your dog is so cool!
Your videos keep me dreamin' of the days ahead. I loose myself for the moment while watching. Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us... total strangers, but from the same spool. As you get time, keep the camera rolling. :)
Coming along nicely! Looks like you've done some of this work a time or two before. :) You make it look so easy!
Boss, you’re doing an amazing job! Keep up the hard work, my friend. You’re an inspiration. God bless you and yours!

Your cabin is coming along ninely Boss. Looking forward to seeing you working on it this spring. Good luck trapping this fall and be safe. Give Frankie a scratch behind the ears for me .
Thank you. Happy to hear you enjoy my vids. Best of luck to you as well.
Thanks Eric. The worms holes give a lot of character to the wood.
Thank you for the kind words and well wishes. I appreciate that.
There's a lot of wisdom in your comment "I'm not in any hurry - even though I should be". I get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of earning a living that sometimes I forget to enjoy life.
Thanks for the reminder. Oh, and great job on the cabin.
Wow - awesome channel. I love your workmanship, attitude and Frankie is such a gem. Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge and skills.
Thank you Zandra. Always a pleasure. Stay out of the hot sun and don't work too hard down there. :-)
Thank you buddy. Any place that I haven't laid logs down has turned into a quagmire. Lots of roadwork coming in the spring. Good luck to you too my friend.

Thank you kindly. The vids may only trickle in for a while now with trapping season starting up. Utube is having issues with uploads as well. I loaded this one with a very small file size and it still took about 5 hours to upload. That's crazy. Anyway, glad you enjoy my videos and thank you for the comment.
Thank you for the well wishes.
Thank you. Glad you enjoy them.
Thank you buddy. The project will sit now till spring.
Thank you buddy. Little by little it'll get there.
Thank you my friend. Trapping starts in 2 days. busy busy.

Thanks buddy. I love that bluestained wood.
Thanks buddy. Best of luck with the trapping.
Thank you Stuart. I can't wait to do some more work on it.
Thank you buddy. Good luck to you too.
Thanks Garret. I switched to a tiny file size and wasn't sure how it would even play. It still took 5 fricken hours to upload. I hope they get this stuff straightened out soon. Good luck trapping buddy.
Sounds like a great place to me. Best of luck with the trapping.
I haven't yet but plan to. Yes the deer love them.
I really like all you have done with the cabin! Looking forward to seeing more videos.
Thank you Lora. They'll be more cabin updates in the spring. Thanks for commenting.
Beautiful work the cabin just looks so cozy and peaceful, soak it all up really nice place to slow down and enjoy life, thanks for sharing your videos.
Looks AWESOME! Great job with the finishes. I always look forward to your cabin updates! Don't make it so long in between next time : )
Great work and very well planned by the look of the addition. Enjoy your videos very much. Good luck trapping.
It's full of hunting, trapping and adventure stories. I'll look into what you recommended. Thank you
Whenever I see MrGoosePit in my inbox, I know there's something coming that'll make me smile. Always a pleasure my friend. Thank you for the great comments.
Cabin is looking really good boss! Love the wood work. We used those biochambers at our camp too. Speaking of trapping, what are you doing for ticks on coyotes and foxes you catch. These ones I am getting are loaded with ticks. I am spraying them with a flea and tick spray and just hoping it kills them all! They are making me itch like crazy! lol
Thank you Ron.
Had my glass of wine while I watched the update, and yes you answered most of my previous questions. Best wishes.
Unbelievable how nice it looks and that's one heck of a mud hole your going to have to fix up in the spare time buddy...Good luck on the line out there...I can't wait to see what you are going to bring us...
Definitely hard to pull myself off the cabin project but gotta do what I gotta do.
Thanks for commenting.
Thanks. No more cabin work till spring. Trapping season's here.
Thank you buddy. The place is comin into it but still lots to do.
Thank you. I've done the buried bottomless barrel many times and they eventually fail. I'm done with that. This is the best way to go. Do it once and be done with it. Thanks for watching.
After they are on the stretcher for a day or 2 the ticks really show themselves and that's when I spray them. I'm doing very little trapping this year due to some medical problems. Fricken sucks too.
Thanks Matt.
Thank you Lassie. It's been a while eh?
Glad you enjoy them. Not sure what I can suggest in regards to your views. Just do your best on making them and the will become self propelled.
I started when I was 14 too.
Our season opens tomorrow. I lived and trapped in NH most of my life and still have a camp there.
Thank you for commenting. I won't be working on the cabin until spring now though.
Thank you kindly.
Thanks buddy. Unfortunately though, due to my medical problems I am barely trapping this year. At least right now anyway, just running a handful of sets.
I'm enjoying it already. Thanks for commenting.
Wow Boss, very impressed, great as always. Best of luck on the line, stay safe out there, all the best William ..!!
Thanks Boss! This is just the material I've been looking for with future build as well as finishing our little 10x16' shack on the back 40 where we hunt deer and cut firewood and snow shoe and marvel at this awesome Creation.
I saw your old Shasta camper stove there...nice touch...:)
Dang, I wish you'd explain those cambers more. For this side of the camera it just looked like more pipe or a long flat barrel. I didn't see how they actually got rid of the fluid. But... that's a new idea that I can look into. And I thank you for that. Thank you for taking the time to do video. I love your cabin.
Thank you. buddy.
Thanks buddy.
Thank you. Yes I built it by myself.
I intend to do that but it has to be done after things are frozen solid and I can bring it in with my Kubota. There's no possible way to get a dump truck in there and I don't want the road that wide anyway. Since I'm only a one man operation, I have to make the most of the hours and building the cabin wins over building he road to it. Plus I do enjoy the adventure of getting in there.
Thanks for watching.
Yes, hard work does pay off. Thanks for commenting.
and you also do some beautiful work out there!! most people, including myself, would like a house to look that nice
excellent work.
Thank you. I have several other vids of my cabin if you care to view them. Thanks for the comment.
Ah, those were the days. ;) LOL
To think what one can learn these days at the tap of the finger tips. Amazing!!
Is funny. Frankie is really star of vlog. What a great dog.

You are doing a beautiful job.
A nice cozy place to hang your hat..put your feet up and watch the world go by..after your skinning chores are done of coarse, haha...good luck Boss.!!
I like the worm holed 1x6's and the round logs looked real good. Good luck trapping fur!
I looking forward to seeing some more of those prime coyotes, like last year!
