This was for sure the “golden era” in BMX for me. Probably one of the first years I actually caught the xgames on tv. I remember Morgan Wade hucking a front flip over the box and landing on his back, and it being the first contest I saw SC in. Such a great time to be riding bmx

It’s crazy where life will take people. When I saw the podium I couldn’t help but getting a little choked up. I mean one of them in that picture isn’t here with us anymore, another one of them doesn’t know his riding career will be over in 11 years from a freak accident and the third is the coach for the USA bmx Olympic team… wild to think about. Thank god we still have Scotty involved in bmx heavily. Miss Dave!
