지난 밤 제법 많은 눈이 내린 서울에 다시 화창한 날씨가 찾아 왔습니다. 오늘은 개인적으로 서울에서 가장 좋아하는 장소인 창경궁을 함께 걸어봅시다. 청명한 하늘과 눈부신 햇살, 그리고 소복히 하얗게 쌓인 눈 사이로 아름다운 궁궐을 저와 함께 산책해 봅시다! 처마 밑으로 눈이 빗물처럼 떨어지는 소리마저 아름답게 느껴지는 하루입니다!

The sunny weather came again to Seoul, where it snowed a lot last night. Today, let's walk through Changgyeonggung, one of my favorite places in Seoul. In this video, you can see a beautiful palace with clear skies, dazzling sunlight, and white snow! Even the sound of snow falling under the eaves like rain is beautiful! I really want to show you various cities and places in Korea. All my friends, stay warm and safe! ❤️

Changgyeong Palace is a palace located in Seoul, South Korea.
The palace was built in the mid-15th century by King Sejong for his father, Taejong. It was originally named "Suganggung," but it was renovated and enlarged in 1483 by King Seongjong, at which time it received its current name. Many structures were destroyed during Japan's multiple late 16th century attempts to conquer Korea and invade China. It was rebuilt by successive Joseon Kings but was once again largely destroyed by the Japanese in the early 20th century, but this time torn down methodically to make room for a modern park, a showplace for the empire, akin to Tokyo's Ueno Park.
During the Japanese colonial period, the Japanese built a zoo, botanical garden, and museum on the site. After independence in 1945 and the turmoil and destruction of the 1950-53 Korean War, the zoo was restocked through donations of wealthy Koreans as well as gifts from foreign zoos. In 1983, the zoo and botanical garden were relocated to present-day Seoul Grand Park.

Might have missed the premiere but I enjoyed it this morning with my coffee.
Such a beautiful place. It always amazes me how you can cross through a gate, into a park in Korea and the real world is just tuned out. You barely notice the cities noises once you enter and commence your stroll, but as you begin walking back towards exit, the intrusion of the real world launches back into your senses. I don't know what sorcery this is that can make reality vanish for a bit but it's pretty cool.
As you walked through the park it was magical how the snow would blow off the trees and swirl around the lens of the camera....such an enchanting visual. That greenhouse was fantastic! The architecture of that building is just brilliant! I always find something in your walks that have continually brought me back to watch. You have a good eye and you know how to make the most of the surroundings.

The cats were a fun addition. I don't know any Korean but the lady sounded like she was having fun with the cats. All of the snow and ice makes the place look magical.

Hello Nathan, my fellow Seoul walker, I must say that this palace is truly beautiful, and the snow on the ground only enhances its beauty. Since I only just recently moved to Seoul, I haven't had a chance to visit it yet, but I definitely will as soon as I get the chance. It is interesting to read the history of the palace and how it was destroyed by the Japanese two times. I am glad it has been restored and still looks glorious today.
There are five palaces in Seoul. Every one has its own ambience!

Good morning, Nathan! How are you? I hope you're okay! I'm just finishing my walk with you, in Changgyeongung Palace. Oh, it's something that feeds my soul. It's still winter in Seoul. Here in Romania, Pitestiul, my city is in the spring. All over the city, snowdrops bloomed, and the birds declared their love filling the air with sounds. Well, is a true, royal existence this palace. Alleys, trees, wooden buildings with roof laces. Pines are the kings of this hibernating landscape. They're so beautiful. Don't you sometimes want to hug a tree? I do. There was a thick, thick tree. Probably very old for the huge branches. How many did he see in his life?! Looking at the visitors, I thought they could be ancient characters, reincarnated nowadays. I was thinking of magic to turn them back into royal courtiers. For a while. And the cats so cute! The bright white of the snow, the pines shake themselves with snowflakes, the generous sun complete the image of the palace that I've already fallen in love with! Thank you for walking!
