Very prety thank you very much more crichet bag 😚😍😍😍💞
Thank you, glad you like it 😊
Wonderful thank you. I have question. You have 3 iincrease maske in one end and 2 in the other in the bottom ?
Maybe you mean the fact that there is first one stitch as part of the starting chain - not sure about the question!
I just finished making this, I started this morning and finished at night(I had breaks) but I'm so happy with how it turned out, I'm using a thicker yarn that comes in yarn balls (so if it curves buy you guys that's normal, it happened to me, don't make the mistake of adding chains (it ruins it)
Lovely! Yes, it works up fast! 😊
@@TuulaMaaria it really dose, I've just made two more and I'll hopefully make the 4th one tomorrow, people have been loving the bag , especially my sister
Thank you so much for the pattern, I am currently making this :)
As I‘m kind of a newbie with crocheting, I have a bit of a beginner question: why is it that we always have to end the round with a slip stitch and chain? What would happen if you just kept going around in circles without doing that? Would it become kind of crooked?
Just asking because I don’t get the logic, haha.
Thanks so much again for your video :)
Going round without ending a round is another possibility and works fine. You then just have to end it in a place, like the side where it show least.
Happy crocheting!
Hi do you have any other tips for how to avoid the gap before you chain? Even if I use tighter tension or tighten it I still see a gap when I lift the handle.
If it looks bad to you, you could pass an extra t-shirt yarn around that area on the inside of the bag maybe.
How many yards of t-shirt yarn did you use for this bag? And if I wanted it to have more of a rectangular wider bottom, do I just go around that first chain on each side once or twice more? Thank you for any advice :)
I don't remember how much, didn't write that down but the bag weighs 250 grams (about ½ lb).
To make a rectangular bottom you could check the start of this basket, it has a square bottom but easy to make the same in rectangular. ruclips.net/video/CAVKrQAxUgw/видео.html
Very beautiful can i use acrylic or cotton yrn
I used cotton there but other materials work well too.
Niceeeeeeee
Hi, If I want to make the bottom for this bag like a rectangle or oval instead of yours, next I can continue with this tutorial ? Do you have some advice? Thank you
Yes you can. Make the bottom first and then start going round it the same way as in the tutorial..
@@TuulaMaaria Thank you a lot for your help and the tutorial :)
Will i be making a slip stich on both sides of the bag, or only where my prins starts?
All round - if I understood the question right.
Do i slip stitch into the chain 1space or the stitch after the chain?
I slip stitch between the chains.
Thank you for your tutorial! I feel like I’ve watched your video multiple times but I keep on doing something wrong..
One side of the bag is always perfectly straight but the other side (where I slip stitch & start the new row) always looks diagonal… I always start the new row in the same chain I did the slip stitch. I hope you can help me!
That happens easily. But not seeing what causes it is hard to say what to do differently. Check that you stop the ending roun early enough so you don't have 2 stitches in the same stitch when you do the slip stitch at the end. And then chain 1 and insert into the same place where you ended the previous round. Although if you have been doing that, I'm not sure what causes the problem.
Thank you for your response! I feel like I’m doing exact the same thing as the video. I also use stitch markers. I try to crochet a bit looser and this already has some affect. Does this side has to look like exact like the other side of the bag? Or is it a bit different?
It is happening the exact same thing to me😢 did you manage to solve it? I think it has to be straight in both sides!
@@user-bd6wh5ov9u Sorry, I didn't notice the comment. It should look the same on both sides. Hope it worked out.
In the first part of the video you said stitch chains as many as I want plus one for turning, so that means if i want to make 14 chains, i need to add 1 more so the total is 15?
Yes, that's right.
When people do videos, I wish they would tell us the count we should have for stitchers for each row…..love the video, but being a beginner, knowing how many stitches you should have would help so much.
You are right, there should be. This tutorial is 4 years old, I didn't think of that then because I myself have never used patterns or tutorials. I can't find the bag now to count them but the main thing with that bag is that every round has the same amount of stitches so you neither increase nor decrease by accident.
Thank you….I am going to give it a try….Ty for your response!
Can I make more than 7 chain for the gap because i want the arm holder to be longer
Yes, you just need to check that it is in the middle and then fill the gap with the same amount of stitches that you for the chain.
Hi! Do you maybe have a written pattern? I have been trying for few days but I always seem to mess up somewhere because it’s a little crooked. Thank you!❤
No written pattern for this unfortunately, I don't often make them!
this is so beautiful! can i ask how many meters of yarn was used for one purse? :-)
Unfortunately I didn't measure how many metres but the finished purse weighs 250 grams.
Thank you for this tutorial! For some reason it is growing on either side for me when I do the slip stitch and getting wider at every row. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong :/
Oh no! You probably end up making two stitches in the same place although hard to say without seeing it! Hope you can sort it out!
Hi! I’m a little late to this and not sure if you still need the help, but is the slip-stitch side/‘corner’ where your bag is increasing? If so, I think I might know what’s happening. From what I’ve gathered from her explanation at 6.06, you need to skip a stitch before you slip-stitch. So you have your chain stitch which you obviously avoid to stop increasing, but also skip the stitch BEFORE the chain stitch too. So you’re essentially skipping two stitches before you slip-stitch.
I found using a stitch marker helped me determine which stitches I had to skip when coming up to the start of the new round. I hope that’s a bit clearer for you!!
@@Mads__Plays this helped me so much, thank you !
Having same issues. So do we always count 14 stitches everytime then slip stitch, then 14 stitches again on the other side, then slip stitch and so on? I get lost with the number of stitches 😢 or do we go 1 round continuously and do the slip stitch always just on one side?
Hi, how to make the edges look neat? Mine looks uneven ☹️.
I didn't do anything special for that. It is important that the crochet hook is the right size for the yarn.
Hey 😊 Do I have to make a chain stitch at each end?
I answered this somewhere else, will see if I find that comment...
Oh yes, the same question was as a comment to comment and YT showed me that. Copying my answer in case you didn't see it!
"You mean for finishing off? I do that in most projects but not necessarily in projects with such thick yarn, it can make it harder to finish the yarn end off so it doesn't show. But from how the bag works out, it doesn't matter if you do or don't."
Hello.. thanks for sharing this tutorial… 👍👍👍 just have a quick question: how much yarn did you end up using for this bag? Please reply🙏
Unfortunately I can't remember, this video is over 4 years old. I only remember that it didn't take near a full cone of T-shirt yarn.
Hey, 😊Do I have to make a chain stitch at each end?
@@emilytina1874 You mean for finishing off? I do that in most projects but not necessarily in projects with such thick yarn, it can make it harder to finish the yarn end off so it doesn't show. But from how the bag works out, it doesn't matter if you do or don't.
Can you use any type of yarn for this project? I'm new to your channel
Yes, you can use other types of chunky yarn, just need to try out how many stitches you need.
how can i make the base of the bag wider?
You could first go around the starting chain so that you first have 3 single crochets in the stitch at both ends. Then on the next round you increase by having 2 sc in each of those. Then continue adding at each end of the base until it is big enough.
Hello beautiful bag where can I find written pattern for the same bag
Glad you like it! I don't have a written pattern, just this video. I'm just not a pattern person, very rarely make those!
How much wide t-shirt yarn you are using in this tutorial ?
When opened up, the yarn is about 3 cm wide.
How long yarn do i need?
The length depends on how thick your yarn is. The finished bag weighs 250 grams, hope that will give an idea.
What size hook is this?
It is size 12 mm, in solid metal, quite heavy.
I'm stuck on the start. How do I make this first knot??
You probably mean the slipknot. I'm showing that on this video ruclips.net/video/kWVcN6_1rS8/видео.html
@@TuulaMaaria Thank you I did the whole bag! Now I'll do something else
how do you make this with thinner yarn? like normal yarn
You can do it the same way but you need to add a lot more stitches and rounds of crochet because normal yarn is so much thinner.
@@TuulaMaaria You can also double up on yarn to make it thicker right?
@@silver_silver Yes, although more than double. In most yarns you would need to have 3-5 strands together to get it thick enough.
Hii where do we have to stop after 5:44 ?
At the spot where we started. It would be good to mark that with a stitch marker, I had forgotten to do that on the video.
Hi can anyone help, why mine keep decreasing? It's getting smaller and smaller
Make sure you don't skip any stitches!
I use to have the same problem until i learned how to manage my tension and count my stitches :)
hello, it's been 3 years already, but I hope you see this. You scored 14 loops, it turns out that there will also be 14 loops on the wall of the bag?😅
because of this, I can’t make even handles for the bag, it’s very strange...
Or did you make 15 loops for the lifting loop?
Yes, RUclips shows all vomments also on old videos, in a list.
I hope I understand your question right. Yes there is the same amount of stitches in the handle part of the bag as in the actual bag.
how many meters do you use for this?
Unfortunately I didn't measure but much less than a full cone of t-shirt yarn that you buy.
Will that pattern work with yarn
With chunky yarn, yes. With lighter yarn you would need to add many stitches and many rounds to make it big enough.
@@TuulaMaaria Can I double the yarn to make it thick enough
@@TuulaMaaria Because the yarn I got is thisvk but not as big as the one in the video
@@kupkakeshugs Yes, certainly can double it to make it thicker and treat as one yarn then.
Hi! How much yarn do you use?
The finished bag weighs 280 grams (or 9.60 oz).
@@TuulaMaaria Thank you!
Can you write sizes of bag please. Thank you a lot.😊
Depends on the yarn and hook you use. My ones are 25 cm wide and 20 cm high. So it's a very small bag.
@@TuulaMaaria thankss💐
