I think the problem is that you're running all this effect negation, when no effect short of Dingirsu can touch your monsters. You'd probably be better off running Mirror Forces and Honest, seeing as how most of the outs to this deck involve attacking over your monsters, attacking you directly, or attacking with Borrelload.
Yep. I run 3 Honest and 3 Score, so I rarely ever have to worry about dying to battle. Sure, the deck isn't amazing or anything from those additions, but I do feel it is much better.
pretty much this. there were a few things about this deck i had issue with due to what was missing Honest syncs up with the deck along with Score, but especially bloom prima. prima's double attack can push for suprising damage, especially when you seeking to send sonata via ostinato and retrieving off the several ways the deck has (getting rid of prima, using soprano or Shopina) and sonata is a good aim just because she has no once per turn summon clause AND buffs the team. considering how lockout heavy melodious are, i think it wasn't wise to cut Prima. there's also some chain shenanigans in deck. if you set up score and honest in the same hand right, you can gain the attack, then lower the opponents to 0 for a blast through. another note- harmonist is CRAZY weak to to getting negated, but if you ostinato bloom prima into linking away for harmonist, you can chainblock using prima's graveyard recovery which gives you a bit of leeway on that angle, or at least so i hear. The link does a lot to help, but melodious still needs more to work with i feel, between cards that have negative synergies within archetype, a lack of a direct searcher, as well as their best draw indeed being extravegence, which can bite you in the worst ways. that said, i feel like this showing could have been better. then again, ive been noodling at this deck since the link was announced. my other pet deck, Abyss Actors has a much more workable swing into their link. that said, this one link boosts melodious into more effective first AND second turn plays. i do wish she was a Maestra, which would make her even better along with some other retrictions being pulled back, but being able to establish a hard recovery fusion and turn, or the pseudo lock is pretty good.
While stray battletraps are cute and can catch an overextended opponent off guard, your opponent won't fall for it a second time. The decks that can out Aria Elegy are usually the same decks that can recover from a Mirror Force or straight up negate it.
You know, even though the deck isn't competitive, not every deck needs to be competitive. I'm sure there are tons of casual players who hate playing meta, but adore a deck that rarely bricks. In a way, you might even see this Melodious board as a test. If you can circumvent this board then that show you are ready for the competitive level. On top of that, even if Melodious board did become near unbreakable, I don't think *anyone* would have liked if there was a deck in the meta that made unbreakable boards as consistently as Salads make Sunlight Wolf. We don't need another Spell Mining Cave. I don't even think long-time Melodious fans would have wanted that. I'm just trying to look at the glass half-full.
Damn I'm from Australia and I have absolutely no clue when he does his streams. So much so I've done everything in my power to make sure I catch a whiff of his stream, subscribed with bell notifications and turned on twitch notifications for his channel. Now I pray it all works out.
It's true it doesn't always need to but it's also true the r8nk build has out(s). The deck can hard make Dingrisu, some builds can also steal the opponent's monster with Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon then link it off into something else. In other builds, Danger! Response team can bounce monsters and is searchable with Nessie. Edit: never mind the latter two because they target. Dingrisu works though.
@@Pihutihutihutijay That doesn't really help that much. Honest might stop you getting OTK'd by Gren Maju (maybe) but it'll still deal a lot of damage and you still have a very big monster to deal with next turn. Also, as I mentioned, that won't help if they send your monster with Dingrisu (actually I realised the other two won't work because they target, but Dingrisu is easy enough to make in Gren Maju, and if you've already lost Dingrisu for some reason there's still the option of making Hope Harbinger then activating Super Poly, or banishing monsters with eater of millions).
The knocking on that door gave me anxiety as I was in the elevator and was deepy confused as to why someone would be knocking on my elevator at this time of day.
I mean..it really is stupid how the link is a Harmonist and not a Maestra, so you could fusion into bloom diva. That's the most powerful card the whole archetype has thanks to it's immunities and it's damage reflection, yet it is so stupidly hard to get out...
You should run bloom prima cause if u ostinato it and go into the link you can chain block ash, ogre but that's if they don't ash your ostinato plus if it sent to gy it can add a melodious from gy. I run a trickstar package 1 stage, 2 reincarnation, 3 candina and it's been helpful but also hurts as if you don't have 1st movement solo or ostinato you can't summon the link but it's worth it imo give melodious some disruption and lightstage can lock back row. The melodious lock is overrated ever since borreload came out it's easily breakable same with bloom diva also honest is good to run I don't run score since honest is better shopina can get it from gy but soprano cannot (It's a bad deck I know but I enjoy it and I don't play to stall I hate playing like that)
Another problem with the deck? A real win condition. If you fight a card like Malicious Bane in def position, you can't do anything. This is why I think the deck should be paired with burn cards and Mystic Mine. This would give you a win condition + protection in case mine is destroyed + protection if your opp manages to Borrel you then has more monsters than you.
I’m strongly worried as to what’ll happen to this channel if Extravagance gets banned. Though I’m kinda glad I know that won’t be happening anytime soon.
Gotta love playing against cheesy meta decks. 🙄🤮 I swear, no one even tries to have fun anymore. 😂 Respect on u for TRYING to find the light at the end of the tunnel with this deck.
Hey, would you try Duck Dummy + Relay Soul in a TMT? It's pretty similar yet completely different, way harder to set up, but also way harder to get rid off.
could you do the shadoll dino deck that topped? it had like 3 d.d. crows, and barely any hand traps, the guy did great but would like to see ya pilot it
Soo wouldn't a cross between Aoi's Trickstars also work for this deck, like Candina into the level 5, only costs 2 cards in hand to make, since Candina replaces herself
You don't need that much search negation. There are very few cards in the game that you need to ash, because melodious does not care about searching. Extravagance is a bad option imo, you would even do better running reckless greed. You dont play enough score and honest in the deck either. This deck can easily endure anything bar blanket negation and nontargeting, non-destruction, take advantage of that to play less known choices. Yes the deck is xenophobic, but it is possible to make that a strength instead of a weakness. Your build is thinking too close to standard rogue lines, where melodious does better when you stay inside its' own box and fortify what it lacks. Give it honest, a couple revival spell/traps, and some solemns. The deck will do the rest.
Yeah sure because the best deck you played against was DM, lol what are you talking about? This deck is 1st turn board building deck so what reckless greed gonna do? Reckless greed is too slow and bad overall.
@@baselw1317 reckless was used as a joke regarding extravagance. And as someone who has been running melodius since it came out and every variant after, I know what makes the deck work. I'm not really sure why you're running it this way. Filling the deck with hand traps isn't going to do much good and is likely just going to end up hurting you. Consider running more of the level fours along with score and maybe even honest. They give you better odds at getting the the link off your field and more options in general. Also gimping your extra deck for extravagance really doesn't work here.
