Absolutley my favorite set of the decade. Love the multiple images. Appreciate you sharing.
arent they they the coolest!?
1960 Topps is a beautiful classic set! I love the way you decorate your binders!
thank you mark, its a slow process, im not even done with them yet. just havent found what i need grr.. hope all is well my dude!
I really enjoy these videos, and delight in watching you piece together these sets. Pure collector joy.
thank you chuck! its great to hear the appreciate from you guys, as set building is def a mater piece on itself.
Mikey, I just love your videos! So nostalgic! Congrats on the 1960 Topps binder progress, my collecting brother! 😊👊
slowly but sure coming along!
Love this set and having a blast building mine. Thanks for showing, dude!
nice!! how far along the way are you?!
1960 is my favorite set from the 60's and the first set I ever completed.
ohh you have this set already completed?? dude, thats awesome! is it in binder format?
1960T, such a great set! I love those coaches cards. Pretty wild having Charlie Root, the guy who Babe Ruth hit his called shot off of, on the Cubs card. The managers' cards are a little strange, but they're so different than anything else I'm ok with them. The all-star cards are a classic. Good luck with building the set!
ohhh interesting fact on the charlie root! yesss, the all star cards are super nice, i think my favorites are the 58 all star cards then it would be 1960 then 59 then probably 1969 those are some pretty nice A.S cards as well.
Oh yeah, all those all-star sets are great! I love the 58s, too. The '61 and '70 all-star cards are also great. It was too bad that Topps stopped making the all-star cards. Some collectors liked it when the all-star designation was made a part of a player's base card. But I always liked the separate set of cards.
Love your videos, I finished this set last year. Not in great condition, but a complete set.
finishing this set amin any cond is impressive! congrats
Binder looks great Mikey! 1960 is also my favorite set from the 60”s.
something about those designs! nothing beats them in the 60s.
Yeah dude ,the 1960 topps set just screams vintage to me. Definitely one of my all time favorites
ohhhhhhh yesss, cant wait for another fat stack of 1960 topps. theyre kinda hard to come by.
Cool cards! Thanks for video!
Thanks for watching!
11th video like - Always nice to add some pickups to put in the sets. Inflation Mikey, the old 50 cent is the new 75 cent a card. My card shop top loads them, I buy them at 90 cents (bulk buy rate) and then sell the top loaders back to them at 10 cents. So, I end up getting the cards I want at 80 cents. Enjoyed the video
ohhhhhhhhh thats a great idea!!! maybe i should start saving those top loaders as well to resell them lol.. i never thought about doing that, very smart! however, i know.. it just kinda bugs me knowing i use to get these el bencho vintage cards for .25 cents at one time, now that theyre almost a buck, it adds up quickly!
I put together the 1960 set 20 years ago and paid a lot more for my commons as they were exmt to Nrmt all, more like $2 a piece. Seventy five cents very cheap and yours look pretty good. Like Les Miz in the background.
oh wow $2/card 20 years ago?? did you hand build that set from card shows??? i see people do that, just sitting down with number spread sheet, looks so awesome. i do the same but in a more lazier way on ebay.
Carreon wayward son 🎸🎶😂. The 60's set is my favorite set. Funny thing I am not a horizontal card fan. I like choice of the color palette and the two tone color in the name of the player to the team emblem. It has a great aesthetic to me but what I like the best is that you have a black and white action photo and a color head shot on the card. When you find a good one that is clean and bright it is a good representation of that time era. I.M.O. the 68 set is my lest favorite. I really dislike the burlap bag look. Good luck with your hunting. 👊 Take care.
i was in that same boat at one time with the horiztonal look but i quickly came over it, it still looks weird when laid out with other cards a neck sore if you ask me, but i learned not to let it get to me anymore hahaa.
my least favorite set is 1966, oh man theyre awful! gross.
I am starting to build sets. Is it better to keep the sets in binders or the cardboard boxes. Is it better to penny sleeve them and or top load them before putting them in a binder?
i put them in binders because why wait lol.. however it may look like a very slow process if you do that. id say, do whats easiest for you. i personally dont like cards put away, ans for penny sleeves i do like protection, but it will beef up the binders and thats also a no for me. i just sleeve up stars/hofers
Rea nice grouping of cards. I almost built that set as a representative on the 60s but ended choosing the 63 Fleer set instead
hey the 63 fleer set is just as nice!
Awesome pickups my friend. Cards are going up in price
yeah it seems like they all want at least a buck for the el benchos from 58 to 69 WHAT THE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! acting like theyre mantle cards..
Your binder game is at an immaculate level man! Love seeing your progress. Now…get any more NES games yet?
ohh yes, yes i did get some more NES games! i def have to make a video on some recent vide game pick ups!
Nice short stack! 65 is my favorite from the 60’s. 1960 is 2nd tho
i can totally see 1965 being a favorite, i forgot to mention that set which is also one of my favorites lol
Great stuff!
Thanks!
No penny sleeves when you slip them into the pages? I learned a hard lesson catching corners sometimes..
@BreakBoxBandit no unfortunately I can't insert pennysleeves in sets past 1959, the pages become to think for the binders. I tried, I tried so I gave up on thst method. Only pre 58 have sleeves
Can you recommend some Ebay sellers that you get those nice cards at those discounted prices. I constantly search to build my sets . But the cards are in bad condition and quite expensive. Thanks Richard
i dont really havd any preferences with ebay sellers although i do buy from battersbox and kycards alot, but mainly when they run promotions. everything else is pretty much auction style, since i build alot of sets/years im not focused on one particular since im always browsing until i find one. sometimes it takes me months to find something, it doesnt look like that because i dont show case everythjng at one time.
Im digging the 1960s topps ! Yo Mikey u seen the new 2024 heritage ? I just bought some hangers , I think they look dope! 🤷🏻♂️
no i havent had the chance to see any videos with the new heritage, ill check them out next week and see what they look like!
@@geezmikey yea they colorful , not sure what year design they are , but they gnna look sweet in the team binders!
@@geezmikey think there 73 topps design 🤔
Toodles great set your starting
thank you!
🔥
fuego!
Nice looking cards for just 75 cents apiece
i guess 75 cents a card aint that bad right.. lol im over thinking it!
First yeah boy 🎉
Seems like i get beat out on 90% of the 1960 lots i bid on. Folks are overpaying for these lots. Hold your ground on uour bids and the lots will work themselves out. Sweet additions to the collection!
i know, aint that weird.. star players/hofers cards seem to have dropped but the el benchos in lots, nope not yet! im patiently waiting, but its just harder to find them.
